  1. Thank you guys for the kind words. Want to try and finish up this weekend and I will snag my wife's camera and snap some pics of it and maybe they will turn out better than the ones with my phone.
  2. Motorcycle looks awesome John. What's gonna be next? A suggestion, the motorcycle out of the movie Ghost Rider? With you skills, I believe you could pull it off. Anyway this build like all your others looks great. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Yes it will. Have started to work on it a little and it appears as if the wheelbase is perfect from the AMT GTX/Roadrunner to the Johan Superbird. Width is great as well. Need to do a little more before posting any pics.
  4. Roger, I don't know where Jack got his from but Speed City Resin has them available. See link below. http://speedcityresin.com/MoparPage.htm
  5. Just about completed.
  6. Looks great. I have one of these in pile to build as well.
  7. Pick up an AMT 69 Plymouth GTX last night for a good donor chassis. The Johan kit chassis has everything molded to it, exhaust, rear axle and springs and the front suspension as well. I was looking for omething that has a little more detail hence the AMT chassis. Will build the rollcage directily on the chassis as well.
  8. Anybody have any updates?
  9. Got some more accomplished on my Hornet this past week. Got engine just about finished. Had to do a mock you to what it will like, now all I want to do is complete it.
  10. Looks like I will be needed to dig through my pile of unbuilt kits to find an AMT Roadrunner or GTX for a donor chassis. This is my latest score off of Ebay. Never had one before and I am thrilled to have it now. It did come with the wrong decals (I believe they are from the 64 Petty Plymouth kit not this one) but, thats ok as the decals probaly wouldn't be any good anyways. It apears that a few parts may be missing but, once again thats ok since the parts I am interested in are there. Can't wait til I get time to build it (if only I could talk my wife into taking care of our daughter for a few weeks by herself, ha ha).
  11. Found this while looking for somemore reference pics for the model I am building. Beautiful car. All other pics show a gold engine but they restored this one with a red engine, Any ideas as to why they may do this? This guys was on Spped Channel with Dream Car Garage and I loved to watch that show but, sadily it apeears if it is gone off of Speed with all there Nascar ###### now. Lots of other beautiful cars on there website as well for references. http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/site/276
  12. Looks awesome man. Nice job. Was it alot of work to get that chassis to fit the Dodge body? I have one of these and never really knew what to do with it, now you gave me an idea. I have a couple sets of the Slixx decals already.
  13. You've got me thinking about pulling out my various Petty models to work on. Great job so far. Loved the '64 and these '69's. Just a suggestion. when I do my plug wires, I drill the distributor first, cut wire and glue them into the distributor cap first leaving them stick straight up. Glue the cap to the engine and then when glue dries on everything, I cut and bend to place in head of valve cover in the case of Hemi's or Ford's 429. You might want to try this way sometime. Works for me but may not work for someone else. Good luck finishing these great looking models. I will be watching.
  14. Love the colors. Great looking vehicle.
  15. Has anybody ever made a 1967 Falcon resin or kit before? I know that AMT did the 69 Falcon.
  16. Wow. Thats looks amazing. A real eye catcher for the shelves of the hobby shops. Well done.
  17. Challenger is mine Camaro is my brothers. When people go by they stop to look. Thanks for asking.
  18. Nice looking model but that green doesn't quite look bright enough to me. My brother's Camaro is alot brighter looking than that. Could it just be lighting? Never have used ScaleFinishes paint before but right now the color looks off if that is to be Synergy Green. Here's a pic of my brother 's Camaro.
  19. Got a few minutes this past weekend to work on my Hudson a little. Got some work completed on my interior and chassis.
  20. Heres my 58 Impala I did a couple years ago.
  21. Cool. I'll have to get my order in when I see that they are availible for ordering. Thanks a million. I'm sure it will be a great seller like the Hudson.
  22. Was wondering if anybody had any experience with the ARII Cadillac's? Was thinking about getting one but haven't seen to much on it. Does anybody have any pics?
  23. The Petty Blue special that CMT did has a color clip of this car I believe when they were talking about Lee Petty. It appeared to be a greyish blue. Not sure if anybody could find this clip on the net anywhere to be able to post it here.
  24. Here is the link to Mr Obessive's build of this kit. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16906&hl=cougar&st=0
  25. How about something totally different and Revell do a spinoff of a 1957 Mercury Then some of us that are into vintage Nascar could build something like this. And since Model King seems to be into Tim Flock with the Hudson and Chrysler 300 they could do the Flock Mercury What do you all think?
