  1. Here's a few of mine.
  2. Paint was all out of a spray can btw no rubbing or polishing yet.
  3. Thanks black is hard to get to look good, hope I don't mess it up. The top pic shows salt flat discs and the bottom one shows steelies. It says he ran the discs then just went to steelies. I thought it would be cool and interesting to replicate with the discs.
  4. Easy there, Ronnie was the man in Mopars!!!!!!!! By the way it was Plymouths. I know just kiddin, he was great in everything he drove from Chevies to the Mercury Comet in '64 to finally Plymouths in '65. Although he would return to the Ford camp ('89ish T-Bird and '64 Promod Comet) and Chevy camp ('84 Camaro Prostock) later in his career but ultimately he would return to Mopar.
  5. I believe this is a first for me to post progress build. Here is a project that I started in between taking care of my 7 month old daughter, work and the honey do list. A few years back I purchased the decals for this car from Model Car World and there resin Impala body but since Revell has brought out there '62 Impala, it takes away some of the work. I have painted the body with Testors Model Master Lacquer, Bare-Metal trim and them sprayed a good coat of Tamiya Clear over it all. I have sprayed the interior red but it had to much gloss to it so I use Testors Dull-cote but it has dulled it to much. I have purchased a set of Salt Flat Discs from Parts by Parks (I have 14" and 15" to see which ones fit the wheels and tires better). I am looking forward to getting more finished on this to add to my Sox & Martin collection. Would anybody have any other pictures of this car, would like to have more reference if possible? Hope you guys enjoy it.
  6. Awesome looking 300. Love it.
  7. They both look great. I have both of them to build as well. Love these old Mopars.
  8. Awesome. Thanks for the updates.
  9. I had posted the other day to see if anyone has cleared over Model Car World decals. I have cleared over decals before but not theres. Also recently I have been using the Model Master Lacquer Clear but just yesterday I tried the Tamiya Clear and like that too. Has anybody cleared other them and if so what had you used? I want to protect the decals and give them alittle shine since it is an old super stock drag car that orignally had the graphics painted on. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Decals are availible on ebay at listing below http://cgi.ebay.com/Decal-66-Yenko-Corvair-Stinger-Cosworth-Vega-/380351187071?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588eb2887f Any of the AMT Corvair kits will work as well. See link below http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=amt+corvair
  11. Has anybody gotten one of these yet? I was wondering what is really different with this kit. I was at a car show this weekend and seen them in a booth but, didn't get one. It appears to not have any of the drag parts or the steel wheels in it. Looks like the only options for wheels are stock full wheel covers and a set of large diameter custom wheels.
  12. After seeing how great of a kit the Lonestar rig is that Mobeius has done, I can't wait for this and the Chrysler 300!!!!
  13. Can't we all just get along and build our models the way we see fit. I am blown away with the detail, be it correct or not, that someone puts into a model of this car. John looks unbelievable with all the detail. If people don't like what you are doing then, don't watch. I for one will continue watching all your builds.
  14. I live in Maryland but haven't seen one of these on the road yet, don't really want to either. Nice looking build though.
  15. I am in the process of moving so I am trying to gather reference material for the modeling subject in the meantime. I am looking for reference pictures for the Pro Stock Dakota that Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin campaigned. I have a few but looking for engine and chassis shots. I have the Comp Resin Dakota body and the Model King Oldsmobile Pro Stock kit as a donor but have been thinking about scratchbuilding the chassis myself since the wheelbase is 3/4" off. Here are the pictures I have. Any help would be appreciated. Progress will be slow with having a 5 month old to take care of.
  16. Atlanta 92 was a dark day in Nascar. The King's last race and Boy Wonder's first. Huge Petty fan, never a Gordon fan but nice looking build you got there.
  17. Any update?
  18. Thats a nice looking model makes me want to get going on mine but need to find the time with a 4 month old daughter. Not much time. I just picked up a 1960 Impala for a donor for the chassis.
  19. Awesome looking car of the Silver Fox of NASCAR. Great to see a David Pearson car. Looks great.
  20. Was that a Stavloa Bros. car or I thought that was owned by Bobby Allison? Not sure now been a few years. Looks great though.
  21. Any updates? I was following with great interest.
  22. I have the Fred Cady decal set #481. These are for the 1966 Nova Sappington Saunders Giant Killer and for the Dana Chevrolet Nova. I need help in finding out any info/pictures of these 2 cars. I have looked in the past but have come up empty handed. Would anybody out there have any info to help out?
  23. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get conversion parts for the re-released 1/16 General Kit? I wish to make a Charger Daytona stock car out of it since it is not a to replica from the series.
