  1. That looks awesome. Great job.
  2. Looks awesome. Been thinking about one of these for myself. Can you provide any chassis shots? Been wonder what all the kit consisted of.
  3. Have been busy getting some things painted on a small assembly line so to speak. Here is what I have going right now. 1952 Tim Flock Hudson 1952 Marshall Teague Hudson
  4. MPC did make a 72 Roadrunner kit I have never been able to get my hands on one to see if the parts are there to build what is shown. If they are then maybe someone could resin cast the parts needed.
  5. I would love all the Rapid Transit Concept cars in model form. I think they are awesome looking.
  6. Your builds are looking great. I really need to get a couple of these but trying to support my so-called local hobby shops but they still have not gotten them in stock yet. Gonna check again today.
  7. Here is the Amt 57 Street Machine kit that I built maybe 10 years ago now. HOK Candy red 2-tone tan interior. MCW Keystone Klassic wheels. Sorry the pictures arent the best. They were taken with my phone.
  8. I mixed together then airbrushed it. Not sure the ratio I just dumped the sea blue into the navy blue gray to my eye til it looked close to me.
  9. I wetsanded and recleared the body. I have started the decaling process. This is your best friend when decaling a Hudson
  10. I like it. Looks great
  11. I just e-mailed him last week asking if he was still doing decals and he said he was still doing the drag racing stuff but not the stock car stuff.
  12. I got mine from Southern Motorsports Hobbies but they are regularly on ebay as well. http://stores.intuitwebsites.com/hstrial-RSetzer/-strse-4576/%2392-Hudson-Hornet-Herb/Detail.bok
  13. Started another one this week, like I need anymore in the works. Its a Moeibus Flock Hudson that will be used for the 53 Herb Thomas Hornet. I will use the 53 interior and trim pieces from the stock 53 kit, then I can make a stock 52 when I get the time. Anyway, I cut out the skirts and puttied the forward most skirt line since it appeared to be molded incorrectly. Primed with Tamiya White Primer. Then I broke out my airbrush for the first time in year and sprayed the body. I mixed Testors Navy Blue Gray and some Testors Sea Blue and then sprayed tesotrs Lacquer Clear over it and this is what I got. It is alittle more gray in person than the pictures show. Its needs to be wet sanded and polished before I can apply bare-metal foil and the decals.
  14. Bill, Here is a link to one that caine440 built and postedon here for a few more pictures. Very nice build as well http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45941&hl=ramchargers
  15. Can't wait. I need one like a hole in the head but this will be a must have kit.
  16. Heres my daily driver a 2009 Dodge Challenger B5 Blue R/T Classic Edition And here is my model of it. Built from Revell's Challenger before AMT brought out there Classic Edition kit. Here is a replica of my brothers 1972 Nova that I built shortly after REvell released there first Nova kit.
  17. Seen these photos and got to thinking about trying to build a model of this car in honor of Bill Jenkins. Was a huge fan of his. Would anybody have any reference pics of what they are using for the engine in these new COPO Camaro's and any pics of the interior and rear suspension? Dave is to have this at the US Nationals this weekend. This is a nice tribute the "Grump"
  18. Started to get some color on the body today. Found this color in Michael's, its Krylon Bonnet Blue. It's a little to bright I think but. I am going with it. Got a couple of spots that don't look quite right so I need to let it dry and scuff to reshoot some color.
  19. I would like to see a 32 Chevy to go with the 32 Ford. I can only think of the old MPC 32 Chevy Roadster and 33 Chevy Panel so a new tooled 32 Chev would be a welcomed kit by numerous modelers Or heck even any early 30's cars from any manufacturer instead of Fords all the time.
  20. So it looks like they paint the car balck first then put a black wrap on it over the paint even where it is just black, pointless. Give me the old days of Nascar where the cars look like what you could buy off showroom floor and they were painted.
  21. This will be a slow project as I don't get much time ot work on my models anymore with having 2 kids under 2 years of age right now.
  22. After purchasing the dvd of the 1962 Daytona 500 and watching as well as starting to read Smokey Yunick's book, I decided to attempt this car finally. I have been working on the 1962 Plymouth that Richard Petty drove so I thought it only natural to have Fireball Roberts car as well since they were the big players in the 62 500. I have taken the trim off the doors per the pictures and primed, sprayed Testors Lacquer Black, Tamiya Gold and Testors Lacquer Clear. I have started a rollcage (no pics yet) but have not gotten far with it.
  23. History Channel's US Top Gear had an episode on this week with the Big 3 Police cruiser from Ford, Chevy and Dodge. Here's the link. http://www.history.com/shows/top-gear/videos/top-gear-police-cars#top-gear-police-cars
  24. Peter, Did you ever finish this? Would love to see completed pics.
  25. Here is a link on the Modelhaus Tucker. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=57837&hl=tucker
