We've upgraded the forum software to the current version. I apologize for the short notice, but there was a security patch that needed to be expeditiously installed. There are some minor changes to the forum's appearance, but nothing drastic. Mobile users should see some significant improvements in usability. I'm already noting much better readability on my desktop and tablet. Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

I recently built the Fujimi kit. It goes together reasonably well, but there's no engine. The rest of it looks great.

Nice! Looks a lot like the one in my driveway, except mine has wire wheels.

Tim, our art director, has been picking out good builds to feature in the magazine. 208 is the first issue with forum finds. I can't say you've won anything except recognition for an outstanding build. That said, I'd like to see that change. -

Going to lock this and relocate it, there's already a thread going in the MCM sub forum. -

That's the stuff. For what it's worth, there seems to be a cadre of model builders who track this on amazon.com. None of my local stores carry it, so I had to order it from there. -
I've been leaving pretty generous tips over the last year. I figure they need it, and I can afford it.

That roughly correlates with our experience. It was more like 2-4 weeks, and our printer is centrally located. -

They should be stopped. Are you still getting them? -
New Pop Up Ads

Advertisers play all sorts of games with Google. It's super tiring. PM a screen shot to me, and I'll see if I can delete that ad in our Google account. -

New Pop Up Ads

Yes, we had a server issue. Should be fixed now. The ads were Google's idea. I told them to stop. I suggested they needed to get more sunshine on their foreheads before making more major decisions. I was not in a good mood. -
Favorite Alternate Version by Original Artist
Dave Ambrose replied to afx's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I hadn't actually heard the Coldplay's original before I heard Aimee Mann's cover of The Scientist. Now that I've heard both, I still prefer Aimee's -
Official reminder -- We asked for no COVID discussions except for ways to cope with the pandemic. Getting the vaccine is one thing, discussing the efficacy, policies, and other matters crosses the line into areas we asked you not to discuss. We've hidden a handful of posts. Let's keep it to that. We'd rather not be handing out warnings. Thanks, Dave Ambrose

Yes, it varies a lot. I ran a low-grade fever, and felt tired. Mary just felt tired. My daughter didn't have any side effects beyond a sore shoulder. Beats getting the actual disease by a very long ways.

My wife and I got our second doses of Moderna. Local pharmacy happened to have some leftovers. I'm in the high risk category, so this is a big load off our minds, and best of all, I get to hug my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson again.
