  1. I did some scraping on the hood. I enjoy shaping, I find it very relaxing. No real plan when I started, here is where I ended up tonight.
  2. This kit is typical of AMT, terrible fitment of most everything. Although I do have to say the engine detail and engine bit provided are really well done. Tried some of the Scale seat decals for the first time. Not too bad, they don't do too well with the Micro Sol I have a number of applications with little softening of them. I will try the hair drier trick next. The current state of the front bumper. I also cut out the kit grill mounting "plate" the plane is to recess the grill. Still have a few applications/steps of filler and sanding before paint. Stock kit bumper on left. Some progress on the grill. Some progress on the grill.
  3. Very cool work, real show quality and very imaginative.
  4. Very cool build, it all works, very nice paint.
  5. Every time I look at this I find something new I like. I like the yellow/dark wood combo.
  6. Cool mods, very well done. I like the muted shade effect.
  7. That looks awesome Steve!
  8. I like it! The colour rocks, nice touch with the pin stripping. The wheel are very unique, I like how they work with this build.
  9. Cool build, engine looks great, nice detail all round. I have never seen that configuration of drive train on auto, interesting.
  10. Very nice finish, dig the interior and paint colour.
  11. Great looking car, not a fan of the colour but man did you ever do a great job on the finish. Fantastic BMF work, love the work on the seats! Well done.
  12. Maybe some day Steve, but for now there are more exciting projects I am interested in.
  13. The engine looks right at home in there, nice addition of the pistol grip. Really nice paint finish and BMF work. Not a fan of those wheels, never have been.
  14. Thanks Dan, I appreciate your honesty and compliment. I agree it's a train wreck as a collective finish, but to be honest it kinda grows on you.
  15. Both are pretty cool. The second name would be good for that Tom Daniels drag bus if it was painted right. Hmmmm.
  16. Thank you Bob.
  17. Thanks man, it definately took planning. Although it did go off the rails near the end. Might have a little to do with the roof, .

    The Bandit

Looks nice, very nice paint, and the dash is very well done. Nice hat, and CB antenna. From the look of the great job of the kit decals it would appear you have the skills for the after market decals.
  19. Wow what a beut! Love the colour combo.
  20. Nice build, I too am a fan of those biggin two door luxury cruisers.
  21. Harry, lol,too funny. I relies its not posesive and the appsotrophy should be dropped. Your going to drive you're self crazy if you keep at this. Thanks for the comments on the build, much appreciated. Just as a heads up. You're in box might get a bit more active, as I'll (posesive) be submitting all my future post's for you're editing. Thanks in advance for you're co-operation. Thanks DanR
  22. If I can suggest. You'll have better luck with a flat grey then the Tamiya base coat.
  23. Dan- Thanks Dan, it took about 2months of bench time. If I can make it I will bring it for the display table. I might be away on business that week. Won't know until the end of August. YC- lol, You got that right, lol. Burn O- It was a worthy project, I learned a ton and gain some valuable AB control skills.
