Whats wrong with acknowlaging what it truely is , A good build.....Whos to say she hasnt been watching her husband build for many years, and of course she has all of his knowlage to fall back on and build on. My wife could probably build just as good a model with me coaching her, Good students mimic thier teachers.

Hey Guys I just got back from the show in Arazona and I gotta tell ya I had a great time!!! We arrived in AZ around 2:am in the morning but Brad Norgaard (Gasser69) was so kool about waiting up for us. He was kind enough to let us stay in his restored Airsteam trailer. Brad and I at Crazy Otto's right before Chris (mooneyes) got there. we were all meeting for breakfast. and this is his beautiful trailer which had all the comforts of a 5 start hotel. the show was outstanding and had over 300 entries there were lots of great builds there and just as many great guys many of whom are members here at MCM heres just a few of those great guys.... And to be honest I dont remember everyones name so ill let those guys figure out how to tell you where they stand in the pic Now about the show. John T. took home so many trophies that we had to go to the local Home Depot to hire some guys to pack em all up and move em back to California. John deserved every award he got too hes a great builder and a great guy! Chris Sobek (mooneyes) also took home a few as well as Brad Norgaard, Art Lasky (sorry if I miss spelled your name buddy) Anthony Rios, and myself (which was a total supprize). the swap meet was great and there was something for evey one I even picked up a project I had been wanting to do for quite some time. Now i can make it a reality Let me tell you the people of the Arazona DSC made us feel right at home and I'd like to thank the entire crew for there efforts and hospitality. Now here a slide show so you can see some of the nice builds http://s179.photobuc...mview=slideshow

Your wife did an oustanding job on this build, just dont teach her how to use the lathe or we all might have to find a new hobby LOL!

Excellent build Niko thanks for sharing it with all of us here on the MCM forums.

Excellent looking pan, you should make one with bolt details and one with just the bolt holes, for the detailer. Keep up the good work.

Master Modeler?????
Romell R replied to curt raitz's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ok Lets look at the term "Master" The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the word as follows: 1: to become master of :OVERCOME: 2: to become skilled or proficient in 3: to produce a master of. Now lets take the second of these defanitions and expound on it. It is said that it takes 20 years to master any given talent or skill set. So the question at hand should be how much time has the said builder of models had at the bench. Now some may have an extraordinary gift that has allowed them to pick up the mastery of the plastic trade rather fast as did John T. should we lable him as a master? Yes indeed! His few years building has manifested proof in his works alone. Yet still others build for years 20,30 even 40 years to gain the confidence and works of a master builder. I know many who fall in this catagory. So who are master builders? Its the guys who over and over again and again are able to show the works of a master modeller. -
I found the best way to heat and bend is with a heat gun or blow-dryer. just set ithe blow-dryer on a table set it to high and turn the rod infront of it untill its bendable. Then quickly bend to shape. The blow-dryer wont char your plastic.
