  1. Very sharp car, Mike. A 7-Litre package Galaxie is something I wouldn't be too inclined to turn away, myself. Charlie Larkin
  2. Nice work on the chassis, Niko. I have one of these, too, and I'll be paying attention as to how you build yours. Charlie Larkin
  3. That looks really good, Tommy. This is definitely a build you can proud of. Charlie Larkin
  4. Some interesting stuff coming, which is good, both new and old. Non-car, I might be picking up one of the Lockheed Venturas. Those are a gorgeous airplane. Charlie Larkin
  5. I agree, the newer Revell snaps look good out of the box and are very easy to assemble. Add a little paint and some detailing, and they'll look great. The Camaro would be a good first choice for a younger modeler. Charlie Larkin
  6. The '62 Impala SS will be a nice piece to have along with the regular hardtop. That Nova looks SO cool....I can see my six/automatic in it now... The Moebius box-art looks great. And judging from everything I've read, the kits will deliver. Charlie Larkin
  7. The 99" wheelbasae could probably be duplicated using the L-700 frame, and substituting the Ford parts. It never ceases to amaze me just how long-lived that truck was, and so many other trucks over the year, too. Charlie Larkin
  8. I echo what's already been said- very nice work with fantastic end results. I might give this one a try myself. Charlie Larkin
  9. Wouldn't mind a 1:1. At last, a motorcycle I can stay upright on! Charlie Larkin
  10. I just stick with Testors, personally. I find it works well, can be obtained easily and does what I need. However, it's also become quite expensive, for that reason, I'm thinking of trying the Tamiya cement. It's less money and everyone I know who's used it liked it. Charlie Larkin
  11. Very nice work. Charlie Larkin
  12. Very nicely done, Doug. Charlie Larkin
  13. I knew I liked you.... Trust me Cliff, after teaching high school for eight years, I understand exactly what you're saying. One small correction to your correction: "hear's" is not a possessive. "Hears" is an active verb. In my opinion- yes to both. Charlie Larkin
  14. For satin paint, that's pretty glossy, which is good, it looks great like that. Charlie Larkin
  15. OUCH! Both of my parents have had their cars stolen on them, and it's horrible to have happen. I do hope your truck turns up. although I doubt it'll make its way up to New England, I'll certainly keep an eye open. Charlie Larkin
  16. This was certainly unexpected. And a very pleasant surprise, too. Wonder what else is in store? Charlie Larkin
  17. I'll enjoy watching this come along. Looks great so far. Charlie Larkin
  18. That Mini looks like it should be attached to that Suburban by a tow rope! Great pictures. My dad got this one of me; as you may remember, about a month and a half ago, we ran across this 1929 Duesenburg Model J broken along the side of the road. That's me talking to the owner. He has three more Duesies and a Bugatti. Good taste, if you ask me. Charlie Larkin
  19. Nice work, Doug. Charlie Larkin
  20. I soak decals only until they move freely, and hopefully no more. Decal set and so forth does help, too. I usually find about 30-45 seconds is adequate for soaking decals before application. Charlie Larkin
  21. I don't know how I missed this one before. Very interesting conversion and very nicely done, too. What color will the final product be, or has that been decided? Charlie Larkin
  22. I hadn't even noticed the backdrop until you mentioned it. I have to agree. Very nice choice on it. Is it a postcard? Charlie Larkin
  23. Wonderful. Gordon Buehrig designed one of the best-looking cars ever penned. And you did a beautiful job depicting it. That Monogram kit is a beauty. I have one of the early 1990s reissues downstairs and look forward to building it. Nice touch with the Connecticut antique plates, too. Charlie Larkin
  24. Very nice work. Bright yellow with black is a nice combination on a pony car. Charlie Larkin
  25. Excellent news, Dave. Keep working at it as best you can! We're all pulling for, and thinking of, you. Charlie Larkin
