  1. I don't see the problem...leave it as it is.
  2. FINALLY a stock hight body 46-48 Ford...Thank You Revell.
  3. I asked Keith about these type of decals maybe 3-4 years ago when I ordered some other decals from him, and I even sent him pictures of originals, but nothing yet. But if more people ask about them he might do them, maybe a sheet with several each of the Ramcharger and Super Stock valve cover and air cleaner decals.
  4. Even the 426 Race Hemi had Ramcharger 426 and Super Stock 426 decals on the valve covers 1964-65.
  5. It came out very nive Sean!!! unfortunately I have never seen the TV show but I like the truck enough to have plans to build one myself one of these days...or years...or!?!??!?? I have the AMT K100 Aerodyne truck kit a suitable Ertl Great Dane trailer kit with a Thermo King reefer, resin two hole wheels with stemco hubs for the trailer and Modeltruckin' decals for truck and trailer.
  6. Nice work so far Sean The red exhaust stack/air stack piece looks to be from an Ertl International Transstar II Eagle or CO 4070A. I built a Transstar II Ealge back in the 80's and remember that setup.
  7. I don't know of any but I would like to see an aftermarket decal set with all the decals for the Dodge and Plymouth Max Wedge and Race Hemi engines, every version had it's own decals on the valve covers, and of course the yellow and red air cleaner decals would be nice to have too so one can do a correct replica of the early to mid 60's Mopar race cars. The versions for Dodge were: Ramcharger 413, Ramcharger 426, Ramcharger 426 A, Ramcharger 426-II, Ramcharger 426-III The Plymouth versions: Super Stock 413, Super Stock 426, Super Stock 426-II, Super Stock 426-III
  8. It can most likely be done, as the side skirts are molded on to the cab you have to cut them off, cut off the front spoiler from the hood, fix the hole for the hood scoop and fix the mounting holes for the wings on the hood and you will get a long hood 1972-82 W900...the old AMT W925 was a short hood 1968-71. It's a bit harder to do a stock W900 from the Bandag Bandit as the hood on it is more customized, it has the same front spoiler as the Super Boss but it has a molded on hood scoop on top and 1977 Buick Regal headlights.
  9. Yeah a Plum Crazy "Big Al" Allis-Chalmers engine would be nice.
  10. The Sagehorn Movin' On truck has a Peterbilt Air Leaf suspension as far as I can tell, it would originally have had torison bars.
  11. Yes the box on the K100 Aerodyne reads 8V-92T and that was what the Malone transporter trucks had. But I have seen pictures with the old style stamped sheet metal valve covers (both chromed and painted) and the newer cast aluminum (i think) more squarish valve covers on both 8V92's and 8V-71's...so it's more likely the year of manufacturing that decides wich valve cover the engine has....it's my speculation.
  12. Otherwise the truck you are building could have been re-powered, not uncommon as the engines wear out.
  13. There are as many dump body styles as they are manufacturers, no one are exactly alike. My best tip is to look at the manufacturers and decide wich one you like and suits the parts you have best...I don't have any knowledge about US dump body manufacturers tho'.
  14. Well I know it comes from an old tooling Revell Funny Car or Top Fuel kit developed in the early to mid 70's, they did both 1:25 and 1:16th scale kits back then, I have built a couple of the 1:25th scale kits and still have some in my stash. The engines from the newer Revell/Monogram tooling from the 80's up until the late 90's FC's and TF's are quite a lot different and better,
  15. I hope you will have these 8V-92 valve covers on your website Kurt, I need a couple of sets too.
  16. Well you started with an old Revell Funny Car or Top Fuel engine wich are a bit crude and really not like the street going versions as you had to build a water pump and such things, other things are the scatter shield clutch can and the different looking oil pan. The clutch can houses a multi disc clutch on these engines and the old TF and FC's had a 2-speed Lenco planetary transmission behind it, you have put an automatic behind it instead and for all I know you could as well have a converter inside the clutch can. Stronger...well that's a good question...it depends on how it's built and what transmission it is, some are fragile as glass and some are strong as steel, and many use the GM 2-speed Powerglide based transmissions in drag racing and they holds up pretty good.
  17. As I said, the Revell 1969 Mach 1 Super Cobra Jet is 1/25th scale and the Revell/Monogram 1970 Boss 429 is 1/24th scale, so the engine can be a bit large for the 69...I don't know as I haven't tried.
  18. I hope it will come back, I'm also interested in one.
  19. Over here the D16 are available with 750 hp and it still meets the hardest emmision requirements in Europe, as far as I know the most powerful engine delivered from factory in Europe
  20. It's a reason they call it Hemi Orange, the 426 Hemi was only available in orange from the factory, they used two different orange shades tho', Race Hemi Orange and Hemi Orange, Race Hemi Orange were a brighter more yellowish orange and the Hemi Orange were more to the reddish scale. Race Hemi's were 1964-65 only and the street Hemi came for the 1966 model year.
  21. The only thing is that the Revell 69 Mustang is 1:25th scale and the Revell/Monogram 70 Boss 429 is 1:24th scale, it's only the engine and hood scoop that are different between the 69 Mach 1 and 70 Boss and I haven't tried myself so I don't know how well the engine from the 70 Boss 429 fits in the 69 engine bay...it might work.
  22. No not really, you have the same type of propusion but it's two types of engines that operates very different. Jet engine: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Jet_engine.svg Rocket engine liquid fuel: https://www.grc.nasa.gov/www/K-12/airplane/Images/lrockth.gif Rocket engine solid fuel: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/propulsion/rocket/solid-rocket.gif
  23. I depends on what carburator type it's supposed to look like, the Holley 4150 series( 650-750) and 4500 series (Dominator) carbs has quite large float bowls sticking out front and back, but the 4160 series has smaller, other carburator manufacturers like Rochester and Carter has a different look as they are built different. Many Holley carbs are in a goldish color so why not.
  24. I don't know exactly when it came out...early 80's maybe...but the first KW 8 bag suspension was called Airglide 100 and I believe that is what the AMT K100 Aerodyne and Revell AG W900 and Revell/Monogram W900 Aerodyne snap kits have...the later Airglide 200 and 400 are a bit different.
