  1. Nice one! It has a realistic used look. Good wheel choice and the tinted windows are a nice touch.
  2. VERY nice indeed!
  3. Nice work - you got the hang of BMF real quick!

Built last year, paint is Zero base and Tamiya clear, the interior is the kit's rubbery black vinyl, unpainted. This is the simpler re-issue with some PE parts from the HiTech version. (I couldn't deal with the wierd chassis in the HiTech version with its PE box-section frame that you had to fold into shape. Nein danke! But the PE wire wheels were very nice). The grill is from a tea strainer and the tiny snaps on the upper doors are chrome decals from Global Toy in China. These are great! Easier to use than PE, more chrome-like and they don't have that hard edge that PE usually has. There are also several very nice Ferarri sets in different scales. I sprayed the chrome steel wheels (the hubcaps are seperate pieces) with two light coats of Tamiya matt clear which produced exactly the finish I'd hoped for. And I added a more realistic exhaust pipe. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki ]
  11. This should be on display at the Mercedes Benz Museum! A true masterpiece! Oh, and great photography too.
  12. The body for this one was painted nearly 30 years ago by a professional car painter where I worked at the time. He showed my how to airbrush automotive base/clearcoats onto a model. I never got this good though! This is really exceptional, never been polished but flawless. Also, the metallic paint is very fine, the metal particles seem in scale, which is rare. I did the interior with Humbrol but for some reason didn't paint the engine green. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  13. Nice Nova Jim! Great detail and I actually like the interior - LOUD, like the car would be.
  14. Thanks so much for all your comments. That's my own custom mix. I call it "Peter Green".
  15. Thanks everyone, much appreciated. I actually like the the overall shape of the promo better than the AMT kit.
  16. Thanks for all the kind comments Harry, I do clean up and scribe panel lines where necessary.

Nice work! I like this 1.32nd series from Matchbox.. If you like 1.32nd have a look at Tomy's Jaguar SS100, one of the nicest car kits in any scale.
  21. Another over 20 year old build, curbside with Sikkens automotive base/clear coats, Satco tyres and poseable steering. Beauty rings were an aftermarket purchase, I think from Dad's Models(?) Windows are acetate but I wish I'd done something about the rather thick frames. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  22. Another older curbside build. Paint is Sikkens base/clear, tyres are Satco, steering is poseable. Hosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki Hosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

  24. Ron, you're killing me! I went on the bus!
