  4. Turned out great!
  5. Fantastic, I LOVE it! I think I'll steal this idea for my GB kit.
  6. I built this when it was new, seemed quite fiddly at the time! Really enjoying your nostalgic posts Spike.
  7. Very nice work!
  8. Excellent!
  9. Excellent build!
  10. This is 1.25th model-building on another level altogether! Fantastic!
  11. Beautifully built replica!
  12. Ah, that takes me back, built it when it was new. I'm building the stock version as an off/on project: Very nice work Spike, looking forward to more!
  13. Excellent job, I really like it!
  14. I love this sort of project. You haven't had to do all that much but it looks SO much better than the stock promo.
  15. Wow, what an incredible show! Thanks so much for the pics.
  16. This is looking fantastic!
  17. Thanks Marty. Here's what the Jaguar looks like so far, although I polished it out after I took this photo. I thought the windscreen frame looked a bit thick so I thinned it down to a more delicate look and had it re-chromed along with the other parts (see above). I'll get it back on the bench when I've finished the Pontiac. Hosted on Fotki
  18. Here's the promo these parts come from. I might have left it as a promo but someone had painted the roof white with a rather heavy hand so I stripped it, had the chrome re-done and will paint and detail it. Hosted on Fotki
  19. Thanks Tim, that's a great photo which will help with detailing when I get to it.
  20. Gary I'm not that far with the Fairlane yet, have soaked the old paint off is all. It would look great in powder blue though. I really like the US compacts of the 60s and if I were to own a 1:1 classic it would be something like a Tempest, Fairlane, Falcon etc. I'd probably opt for a down-market version with a 6 rather than a V8 - just to be different. In NZ I grew up in cars of that size but they were UK Fords or Vauxhalls, Holdens etc, all with 6 cylinder engines. My father's 3.3 liter Vauxhall Cresta 6 was one of the fastest 4-doors on NZ roads at the time and could drag off a 3.8 Jag because it was considerably lighter.
  21. Ah yes, of course, from my 69 Bonneville. They just came back from the chrome plater with a bunch of other parts and I got confused. (Senior moment!) Thanks very much for your help guys!
  22. Beautifully done!
  23. I do remember the build now and commented at the time but I'm seeing it for the first time in paint. I may have been in hospital when you painted it. I remember being very impressed with your carved tuck'n'roll interior.
