  1. Love the Vettes.
  2. Love these. They are soooo creative.
  3. I always like those wheel covers on the C3 Vettes
  4. Probably 77 since Glidden ran the Fairmont in 78. These were match races with no weight or motor limit. Looks like they lost the passenger window and might have hit something on the right front.
  5. Nailed it!
  6. Excellent tip. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Looking forward to see more progress.
  8. Wow! Great Job. My sister gave me that kit because I had a white w/ red interior 85 with the Doug Nash 4+3 trans. Very fast car for the times.
  9. Great job. Love the mid-year Vettes.
  10. Love the Ford GT MK II's
  11. Thanks for this tip. I need to bend the rear window trim like you did the above trim. I tried it and it will be the solution for the rear trim.
  12. Thanks Charles. I will try that. I have to redo the strips since one is not straight and the other I missed the line up with the tape on the side.
  13. I tried the Plastruct but it didn't really soften the plastic like I thought it would.
  14. Charles if you scroll up a couple of posts you can see the picture with the trim. Basically I am putting the trim across the roof and down the sides of the window area. While the rear piece is straight down the front piece has a angle to it.
  15. No worries. I should have supplied the pic when I originally posted the question. But lots of good discussion on this subject.
  16. Thanks guys for all of the input. The heated plates are nice. What I did with some success is to put the ca on the .040 flat side 1/2 round. Then stick it to the straight roof of the body. After the glue was dry I slowly used a thin wire to add more ca as I bent the rod around the roof to the side then cut it of. Here are some of the results.
  17. Thanks I will let you know. I just got back home from the hobby shop. I will be trying the solvent glue in the next couple of hours.
  18. That's what I did with the 1st strip. I had it fully taped down when I added the super thin CA glue. It broke at the curves. I was just going to use the solvent to soften the 1/2 round to make it conform then use the CA to glue it in place.
  19. That sounds like a good idea. I will try that and see what happens.
  20. The problem is I need to use 1/2 round and the curve has to follow the body. What I might so is tape it to the resin body then use the solvent glue to break the bend tension.
  21. That is my next step. I just have to go to the Hobby Shop to get the solvent glue.
  22. Its a near 90 degree curve. I may try taping it again then use a hair dryer to break the tension. I tried some direct heat from my torch but it was too hard to control the amount of heat on the area.
  23. My liquid cement dried up and I didn't have any MEK at the house. So I think I will make a trip to the Hobby Shop tomorrow.
