  6. Model Car World & Kitchen Table Resins also produce Ford inline 6 OHV engines. Kitchen Table also has a flathead Ford 6.
  7. In the early or mid 1980s I purchased the TKM '81 Imperial because I wanted to build Buddy Arrington's NASCAR stocker. He was the last guy running a Mopar & I was really into what he was doing. After a LOT of grinding ( swear there were places that were a half inch thick ) mixing & matching parts from MPC & Monogram stock cars & Fred Cady decals I made something that is almost presentable. It is kind of lopsided & goofy looking but it has sat for 30 years on my shelf. Good luck finding one, he was selling on ebay a few years ago but not recently. The sad thing about what he was doing is he never improved his product. He was one of the first in the late '70s & the stuff was rough but everyone's was then. When all the other folks continuously improved their product he never did. If you have never seen his stuff in person be aware that he is just using a one piece mold with resin poured in. Bumpers, lights, everything is all one piece. I suppose with a LOT of time & effort something decent can be made but why bother ? If you want an '81 Imp. I would just start scratch building you couldn't do worse.
  8. That is a topic that a book or two could be written. Google resin casting for a TON of info also check out www.lsresincars.com this is Lance Sellers site click on the Garage Area tab & scroll down. He has a picture tutorial on casting.
  9. I use blue masking tape & Aleene's clear tacky glue.
  10. You could email or call Modelhaus & ask if they still offer something. I have purchased items from several aftermarket companies that were not in a catalog or listing. For whatever reason not everything available is listed.
  11. I recently complained in an email direct to Testors about some of thier Model Master bottle paint. They asked to see a photo of the UPC codes on both bottles. A couple weeks later I got a refund check for them. Maybe take your problem right to the top.
  12. Scratch build them.
  13. X3 on that Indy Turbine. Also the MPC 1932 Chevy Roadster.

  15. Angel I have never figured out how to post pics here. I built the '53 Vette & '72 GMC step side pick up that were in the same series as the above '68 Shelby. I got involved because of Bob Bost who had built some & got me in. We had met Karen Sands of Ertl at the Toledo toy Show in the mid 1980s & she was always looking for someone to get involved. That was a long time ago, how to get in now I have no idea.
  16. I built a couple box art models for AMT maybe '88-'89 or so. Just like Art said they sent you the kits with specific instructions on what parts to use & what colors to paint. The ones I did had stock & street versions so I built two models for each box. You also got a return shipping label. IIRC they wanted them back in about a month. I have no idea what happened to them after that. But I did request & get unfolded box tops of the ones I built, still have those.
  17. Busy day today, saw a '61 Vette, Bentley Continental GT, & a '64 Chevy PU short bed lowered with steelies trim rings & wide whites.
  18. You could try contacting Fred Cady himself , officially he is not in the business but he is still there. I don't have his address handy but he still uses the same one as when he was in business.
  19. You see Corvettes every day, how often do you see a sinkhole. Especially inside a building.
  20. I am interested for sure, keep us posted when it is ready.
  21. Looking forward to building a replica of my '88 LX hatch
  22. If that is legit someone got the deal of the century, wire hornest flat tire & all.
  23. Great paint plus I like the tins, I have some more than 20 years old that are still viable.
  24. Every kit I own vintage or new I plan to build. From an original '61 Buick to a Moebius Chrysler 300. Now that doesn't mean that they will all get built, but that is the plan.
  25. Check Testors or Humbrol military colors they have several light brown/tan colors. Don't know if it is still made but Humbrol had an Unbleached Linen color that was close to this.
