  1. If you want coverage in Model Cars get someone in your club to photograph & collect the information. That's what we do in Toledo. Contact Gregg & get the information on how to do that.
  2. I don't have pictures but Mike's Miniature Motors 1911 Chevy & '50 Studebaker Convertable. After many years of looking I found the Studebaker at Toledo last year.
  3. AMT '36 Ford, I have 7 or 8 including 3 of the original issue.
  4. Way cool, I really dig those early oval track cars
  5. Just a reminder the NNL Nationals are next Saturday October 5th. Check the calendar section for all the details. Hope to see you all there.
  6. I just received an email reply from them, they have some really interesting stuff available. NOT inexpensive though, I suppose shipping across the pond is part of that. I will have to do some hard thinking to decide if a model kit is worth $ 160.
  7. There are all kinds of industrial/stationary/agricultural engines that have been produced over the years. Many based on automotive designs. I've seen some goofy looking stuff, but they all seem to do their jobs.
  8. I'd like to hear about this company also, was just looking at what they have available. Some very interesting cars, the Bentley Continental caught my eye.
  9. Lucky is an understatement, any spray can is just an unexploded bomb. Most if not all spray cans use propane as the propelant plus the paint is flamible. Putting one on a direct heat source is asking for trouble. Warm water is the only safe option.
  10. There was a company WAY back that made a nice aluminum working drivshaft. It was something like Mortasen Engineering, forgive the spelling. I saw it at the Hot Rod model car contest in Indy about 1990. I doubt they ever sold many but someone may have some out there.
  11. Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland repoped that enigine a couple years ago. Not sure if it is still available or not.
  12. 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, I can remember as a little kid in the '60s stopping any time one would drive past.
  13. I give him a LOT of credit, how many people have ever even attempted to build a working car from scratch ? Plus the thing really runs !
  14. Dawn dish soap, an old toothbrush & hot water should do the trick.
  15. I sure hope so, I had a '88 LX 5.0 hatch. I tried to modify one to a hatch, I'll just say it was not a total success.
  16. When I was about 10 ( 1967) a friend & me built the AMT '53 Ford pick up. We used EVERY part in the kit, a couple 10 year olds thought it was way cool.
  17. Modelhaus also lists one.
  18. I'll vote for a couple that have already been mentioned, '37-'39 Zepher & the Airflow. Both way overdue & I believe would sell pretty well. Other than that just about anything other than a Ford & I like Fords but they have been done to death.
  19. There has been one of those for sale on ebay for a long while ,maybe years. Currently asking $199, it was much higher in the past. I had been wondering who had cast it, thought it was too nice for TKM. I would just leave it on display as is. If you want to build one get a Modelhaus kit.
  20. First you can bank on it that anything you order from Modelhaus will be a top quality product. Second Don, Carol & their son work full time producing resin stuff for the rest of us. Probably can't handle any more business.
  21. Pretty cool, but if that guy has that much money to throw around I got a kid starting college in August. He can throw some my way.
  22. Thanks, looks like some great models & very good photos.
  23. Many years ago I bought a '60s issue of the Monogram Little Duece. It was the same way didn't even need paint super shine right out of the box.
  24. Smokey's Chevelles used about every aero trick he could think of most not really NASCAR legal. Most noticable was that it was quite a bit smaller than a stock Chevelle.
  25. Looks like a cartoon car.
