2013 Dodge Dart !
moparmagiclives replied to moparmagiclives's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A great heritage ??? Were they really that super of a car? Because I see them all over for like, really cheap. Yes there are some very well built and impressive darts out there, as well as Vegas and monzas, but I would hardly say those have a great heritage. This car is going to change the bad direction Chrysler has been headed for the last seven years, it's very exciting !!! -
So you think your R8 is bad ?

Is it a suprize that an over weight underpowered van beat a high reving super car on a very short Australian pursuit course? And it never stated that the van isn't an awd itself. I think that's a pretty dumb way to judge anything. I bet there are a million Toyota pickups out there that can out crawl that Audi too.. Where's that video? -
As everyone else has stated, great paint work. My favorite detail is the "butterfly" a arms. Love that look they give when it's locked up !

Did anyone attend the hydroplane races this past weekend? 85 and breezy, couldn't have been better. My 8 year old and I went down on Saturday, what a little trooper. He was all smiles after he got to pick out a hat. "oh boy oberto" three time champ hat. The f-16 at the half time air show was pretty cool too !! A mock 1 pass just past sonic speed over the river really got a rise out of him. Anyone who is within an hour or two from Richland, I totally recommend it !!! Best $15, 6 hour event I've spent in a long time.

Think beyond how your building them, and ask yourself "why?" Is it because you like that particular model of car? Or it's your favorite race car? Once you know why your building it, just build it. My self, I like to try one thing that's not box stock, be it wire an engine, flocking, making seat belts. I have found that it keeps the build interesting but not to much to make me loose interest. And one day, I know I'll be able to do all these little things to one model that will really make a masterpiece for my collection. Someone on here has a tag line "every model is practice for the next one" True story !!

A more "affordable" Tesla

I happened once, and it will again soon.... "Man this new gasoline engine is so cool, I can load up my whole family and all their stuff and head across the pass, at 70 mph." Battery powered Electric cars are a neat novelty, but very unrealistic. Untill we see nuclear or better hydrogen power plants on board,, they will all be short range, long charged, expencive things we read about. -

Glue bombs/ built models
moparmagiclives replied to madisonwoodsmith's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I often wonder the same thing, and the same goes for the guys who will take apart a car they built and "rebuild" it. Why not just start with a new kit. I understand some a very hard and expensive to come buy, but I see a lot that are redone that can be purchased for the amount of stripper used on them. -
Looks sharp, I was thinking the kit came with some kind of side molding?
-
As has been said, what would sell more? A kit that everyone could find something in it they like ( hard top, custom, race, street, razor saw convert with some aftermarket parts), or a stock, parade car convertible? Plus a convertible gives you no choice but to put as much work into the interior as you have on the exterior. That would detour me on a few different kits. Or maybe they just have had enough with the tri fives as everyone else lol.

Modeling, insomnia and you.
moparmagiclives replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not sleeping is what got me back into models a few years ago. Who knew a little creative venting would almost take care of all my sleeping problems. -
So, they come prepainted then?
