  1. From the photos, it looks like kitted one with a plain roof..too bad they didn't do the panoramic sunroof, in scale the it would show off the interior.. Given how popular CUVs and SUVs are in the modern world, more kits of this type of subject would be nice to see...like the new Chevy Blazer...or the upcoming Ford Bronco. Or any of several different Jeep models....
  2. No. It has two sets of different 5 slot GM wheels.
  3. I think the Barris custom version from 1980 or so had them also. I believe the late 80s (red car on the box) was when they switched to Shelby style wheels for the option.
  4. The Countdown Series issue of the '66 Mustang ht had them...not sure if more recent releases had them also.
  5. They are also built in S. Korea for Asian markets....it's a global vehicle..
  6. Yeah, the grille, taillights, dash, steering wheel and wheels were the main visual changes over 29 years of production...neat vehicles.
  7. I'd love to see one of the later Grand Wagoneers in 1/25th.
  8. Been a Rush fan since high school in the 80s...glad I got to see them about 15 years ago at Red Rocks in Colorado...just incredible live. RIP Neil.
  9. Yeah, there was one only a few miles from me (Parma Hobby) but it closed the year before I moved here. When I lived in Kent in the early 90s there was a good shop in Cuyahoga Falls and one in Canton. There is a decent one in Geneva-on-the-Lake I visit when I go up that way to the beach.
  10. Yeah, I'm in a county with 1.25 million people, not sure if I have any regular independent hobby shops left, so I'm pretty much 100% online.
  11. I know of several good 'brick and mortar' hobby shops that I frequented from 1995-2005. Not so much today.
  12. Back on-topic, I predict besides what has already been announced, we may see from Revell a mix of reissues, modified reissues and maybe a new tool or two. And they will be released on specific dates. That is about as non-controversial a prediction I can make...
  13. I've had a cold and sinus infection since the weekend before Christmas.. been treating it, mostly gone now.
  14. Well, the 1886 Benz Patentwagen is coming soon as a new 1/24th kit from ICM.. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10667427
  15. The 1911 Fiat 'Beast of Turin' 28.4 liter race car would be interesting..
  16. Neat...looked it up, apparently this was sold in the US long ago as an MPC in a couple different releases...I have a few MPC 1/32nds that were Airfix reboxes, neat little kits.
  17. I couldn't imagine doing it.. if I were a moderator, I would be banning dozens of people daily. Anyway, ICM kits are neat, they do stuff no one else does...I have their Opel Admiral sedan and convertible kits, haven't tackled them yet, haven't built a multi-piece body kit in decades, but I've heard they go together well.
  18. It looks like an interesting kit. The problem with the original thread (and many threads) is some people can't grasp that kits aren't $5.00 or $19.95 anymore, there is a wide range of prices nowdays...and then they whine endlessly about the prices...gets really, really old. Prices are what they are..if you can't afford it, don't buy it.
  19. It does have the crease, just wasn't visible in that distant cell phone photo...
  20. These are the '60 Ford conversions I got from MCRC at the NNL Nationals in October...Galaxie Town Victoria 4dr ht and Fairlane 4dr sedan. Both very nice. The Slant 6 is an MCRC product also.
  21. Got this clean Johan '63 Chrysler 300 HT in the mail yesterday in good shape. Has a resin hood and needs a few things (engine, radiator, firewall, torsion bars). I have the '63 convertible, been wanting a ht to go with it for a while.
  22. Never owned anything too dangerous or worn out, though I've had a couple vehicles with pretty high mileage ('84 Mercedes 500SEL, '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee) that were in good condition and pretty reliable despite the mileage (220k on the MB, 170k on the Jeep, which I had bought new). The brakes failed on the Benz once when I was leaving a parking garage.... My '84 Escort diesel was very underpowered and slow, but with a manual it was fun to drive. Bronco II's had a reputation for being easy to roll, but I drove an '88 for 6 years w/ no problems. My '87 Mustang GT was a lot of fun but could be scary on wet or snowy roads. Had a few white-knuckle experiences with it in Colorado. Maybe the scariest/most dangerous vehicle I've driven was a friend's pickup truck that I borrowed for a few days to move between apartments back in the mid 90s. It was an early 80s Datsun King Cab pickup with a lot of rust, a driver's door that wouldn't stay shut, and a driver's seat belt that wouldn't fasten. And it was a manual and tended to stall easily. Had to go slowly on right corners and hang on so I wouldn't fall out...
  23. I've done business with MCRC for 15+ years, bought a couple '60 Ford resin kits from Jeff at the NNL Nationals in October. No problems, great quality and customer service.
  24. Got my '66 Stylesides today.. look good at first glance.
