  1. Just logged into my Fotki account, seems to be working for me.
  2. Got a couple resin goodies in the mail today, a ‘70/71 Dodge Polara 4dr sedan from Too Many Projects and a MCW ‘70 Chevy Impala sport coupe.
  3. Yeah, the US never got any Lada vehicles...some Canadian friends of mine have told me about having rusty ones in the 80s...one friend had a Lada sedan one as his first car in Saskatchewan. (one odd thing--autocorrect keeps trying to change 'Lada' to 'Yada')... Speaking of Pintos, my sister's first car was a '76 Runabout...I've long threatened to build a model of it for her...she had it for about 5 years from 1976 on, through college..it was a worn out, dented rusty mess by 1980, but it got her and her husband from Ohio to Arizona w/ a U-Haul trailer..
  4. Just got a shipping notice email from MCW for my order from 2/13, which is definitely faster than orders from late 2019.
  5. Its a McLaren..as the badge on the rear says..;)
  6. Given Revell's history of doing Baldwin-Motion versions of kits, it wouldn't surprise me if they did a '69 Chevelle B-M at a later date.
  7. Heh-heh..I have a couple diecast FAB-1s...how about the modern one from the movie from about 15 years ago..
  8. Yes, and it specifically says on their site: Please bear with us. We are adding casting capacity and an employee to fill orders They did have a message on the site a while back saying they were retooling various resin kits and that it would take extra time on resin orders.
  9. .Probably will along w/ the Pro Touring style wheels and tires...wonder if they have made any engine or interior changes..
  10. I'd assume it would be stock only like the '68 kit was.
  11. Looks like something that Mattel would tool up for the Hot Wheels line.
  12. I I've had State Farm for 25 years, been happy with them. Progressive is a local employer here in the Cleveland area, have looked into them before as I have a lot of insurance industry software development experience (10+ years)...Allstate also has IT jobs here locally. May work for one of them eventually..
  13. Last couple of orders I've had from them took about 5-6 weeks...
  14. No one said they were the same. The key is the comma in the OP's second sentence. He was comparing the size of the wheels and tires on two different 1/24th scale kits....in 1:1, the first gen RX-7 and first gen Miata both had 13 inch wheels and tires. So in scale, the wheels/tires should be similar size in 1/24th scale. In the second paragraph, he was inquiring about the tire/wheel size on a long out-of-production Tamiya 1st gen RX-7 kit, as compared to the 1/24th Monogram RX-7 kit (which was recently reissued under the Revell label). That's how I interpreted the post.
  15. I don't have the original Tamiya RX-7, but I'd assume it would have the correct 13 inch wheels...I have other Tamiya kits of that era, and they certainly appear to have the correct tire/wheel size. It wouldn't surprise me if the Monogram kit has incorrect wheel/tire sizes, wouldn't be the first time they did that.
  16. The Revell pickups have V8s, the AMT '60 Chevy pickup has a 6, but that's an older design.
  17. I got several models as a teenager from our local Winn-Dixie grocery in Marathon, Florida.
  18. I've seen models in gift shops. The gift shop on the Queen Mary in Long Beach had Revell ship models..
  19. MCW makes a resin '60s vintage Chevy straight 6. https://mcwfinishes.com/shop?olsPage=products%2F1960s-chevrolet-230250-6-cylinder-engine
  20. I like it..different story than Breaking Bad, well written w/ strong acting...interesting character development how Saul and Mike and other BB characters came about...
  21. I like the AMT 1/32nd kits..I like the scale, started out with 1/32nd Revell and Lindberg snap kits as a kid in the 70s. I hope Round 2 eventually reissues some of the AMT 1/43rd scale kits..have a few '70s/80s issues of them from childhood.
  22. Column shift automatic IIRC..the shifter is visible in this still from the movie.
  23. Saw the movie when it first debuted on Netflix last year..was quite good.. I remember the gold Fiero and Todd's El Camino in it, Skinny Pete and Badger had a big early 70s Thunderbird in green IIRC...can't find it on the IMCDB listing for the movie. Edit: it was a blue '72. https://breakingbad.fandom.com/wiki/1972_Ford_Thunderbird Looking forward to the upcoming season of the prequel Better Call Saul on AMC, starting back on the 23rd I think...saw a trailer for the upcoming season, looks like Nacho still has the red Javelin... I assume this season is when Jimmy/Saul ditches the decrepit Suzuki Esteem for the late 90s Caddy DeVille... Always enjoyed Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul...great writing and acting...interesting characters, love the locations...New Mexico/Albuquerque reminds me a lot of Colorado Springs and south central Colorado where I used to live..
  24. Looking forward to it..going to try and attend this year.
  25. Yes, that’s the pic I was thinking of. If I had an extra 68 CdV and ‘68 Impala I’d like to use the formal Caddy roofline to approximate a ‘68 Impala custom coupe.
