  1. They are based on the Ranger, so they are BOF... Ford is building a Ranger Raptor, so a Raptor version of the Everest and Bronco may be coming down the road. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Everest https://www.caranddriver.com/news/potential-ford-everest-raptor-could-pave-the-way-for-a-bronco-raptor
  2. The leaf springs make no sense, as GM didn't have anything like that on their street A-bodies. A-bodies had coils. IIRC, even the old MPC GM NASCAR kits from the 70s had the correct rear suspension. I saw the explanation for the leaf spring suspension on the Salvinos FB page, and it makes no sense, sounds like a lot of BS.
  3. The Everest/Endeavour is based on the Ranger. It's sized between the Edge and Explorer. The upcoming US Bronco is going to based on this, with different styling.
  4. Got the email from Tower about Horizon just before midnight.
  5. http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/resin/newstuff.html
  6. The 600 Grosser has been done in die cast in many scales; never seen anything in 1/24th.
  7. That's a 90s car..nothing like the old 600 limos.
  8. Not familiar w/ Omni, but I do buy from Tower Hobbies occasionally.
  9. Cool..love these '70s 4dr subjects...
  10. Got some resin parts today that I'd ordered last May that had been lost in the mail and I'd given up on ever receiving.
  11. That's not accurate, though, since the '69 442 came out in March.
  12. Modification trends come and go.. stock--either original or restored--never goes out of style...
  13. For approximate release months, I usually check Tower Hobbies. https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=amt https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=mpc
  14. We have those 'coal-rolling' morons around here also... saw a Ram pickup the other day that had a pipe in the bed with an opening that must have been as big as my head...
  15. I did some dumb stuff 30 years ago as a teenager. But relatively mild... I didn't do stickers or aftermarket wheels or mufflers, but did get briefly into the then-popular fad of tinted headlight and taillight covers. I did put clear ones on my '86 Mustang LX--they worked ok until one of them flew off on the freeway (they were attached w/ Velcro). I had the blackout ones on my '87 Mustang GT. My older brother seems to have never outgrown the teenager stuff--he still has tinted headlight covers, decals and Pep Boys type stuff on several of his cars, trucks and SUVs.
  16. Maybe they find the threads when searching on a particular topic and don't notice the dates.
  17. Yeah, 2 years seems to be about the limit. My iPhone 6S is at 2 1/2 years, doesn't keep much of a charge now. Will probably upgrade soon to an iPhone 8.
  18. About the only live tv I watch is motorsports and NFL football...I stream pretty much everything else. Some streaming content has ads, some doesn't, and some services w/ ads won't let you fast forward through them.
  19. Yeah, I can see that...cabs are larger now than 30-40 years ago. Since I've occasionally seen beds of different generations on trucks, it seems like the positioning of the mount points for the bed maybe haven't changed much over the generations..would make sense to standardize the mount points to make it easy to attach 3rd party utility beds.
  20. I like the look, though It needs the black trim around the wheel well opening like the front has. I rarely ever see regular cab short bed regular bed pickups anymore. I wonder if it bolted right up or is some mods were needed, the '14-19 generation short wheelbase is an 1 1/2 inches longer than the '73-87.
  21. I remember green being really popular with the first generation GC (the ZJ generation). ...saw so many of them in Colorado in a couple different greens.
  22. Reality is complex. Different products are manufactured in different locations. Anyway, back on topic---anyone have any news on the Hobbico drama, since it is Monday?
  23. Maybe it's going to be the Bullitt Mustang with billet parts?
  24. That Suburban looks like it has rear wheel steering also...bizzare...
  25. ...and my Jeep was built in Michigan. But I don't see how any of this has to do with Hobbico..thread seems to have gone off the rails.
