The Tamiya Civic appears to be a 3rd gen model and the new kit is a 4th gen. I remember Tamiya making a street CRX of that era (recently reissued) and a street 3rd gen Civic hatchback...don't recall any 4th gen kits..

Not a fan of Bad Brad or smilin' Joey....but if they did the Chevy SS in various Hendrick or Stewart-Haas liveries, I'd be interested.

A local newscast here on Friday dramatized the rain we had that afternoon, hyping it up as if a hurricane had hit..

What an interesting engine..seems like lots of potential for hot rod and unusual builds..

The speculation is that Revell is planning to do a styrene kit based on that tooling, as they have done with other diecast models. Kits of the original F&F Charger or the Fast Five car could do well... that metal body '70 is much nicer than AMT's weak attempt was..

A '38 Ford derived from their '40 tooling would be nice to see..it's a year that's never been done in a kit that I know of....the standard and deluxe versions have interesting, distinct front ends and would make good hot rod material, IMO

Sometimes the OP locks the thread because the question posed in the topic has been answered and thus the thread's purpose is complete. It is only logical to lock when further discussion would have no purpose..

I forgot about that one. The F&F car was a diecast kit, included a Brian figure. There was also a diecast 'Super Street' yellow tuner Eclipse kit.

Revell did a diecast F&F Eclipse, don't think they ever did it in styrene..

I assume it's the same BnP they gave out at the NAIAS or Chicago (shown in blue on the front page of the Revell website)

3rd quarter looks thin..I am interested in the new Raptor, though. I know the S&H Torino is supposedly scheduled for 3rd quarter, looking forward to that..

I remember TG&Y stores. As a kid in Eastern Ohio, I remember getting models from there and many other long gone stores--Mr Wiggs, Harts, Hills, Rinks, Ben Franklin.

If the NASCAR Fords are successful, maybe they will do the Chevy and Toyota...all my favorite drivers drive Chevys (Hendrick and Stewart-Haas teams).

Ouch...most I ever billed in one week was 96 hours...on one project I was working 80-96 hrs per week for a 6 week stretch..insane, gained 10 pounds (the client catered breakfast, lunch and dinner for the dev team). But at least I was getting a good hourly rate..

I have a couple Hendrix resin kits, a '53 Ford 2dr sedan and a '63 Ford 4dr sedan..they are decent...

Not really...same kit, different body. 95% of the parts are the same. An odd thing--the windshield was fixed IIRC in later issues of the hardtop, but the convertible still has the '68 windshield. Another issue has always been the missing turn signals from the front bumper. The Countdown Series was the first appearance of the convertible kit, there was no annual of the convertible back in '69 (though I think there was a promo?)

I build (well, buy) in the scales I build/buy because they are the scales that have the subjects I like. I started w/ 1/32nd snap kits as a kid, migrated to 1/25th then 1/24th, later got into 1/20th (primarily w/ F1 race car kits, though I have a few MPC and Lindbergs of that scale). I've also dabbled in 1/43rd scale kits--a great scale as I also have a lot of diecast in that scale. I have a few 1/16th, 1/12th, and 1/8th scale kits, but never really went deep into the larger scales.

I like the new Mustang and modern Camaro styling..and the Challenger. RWD V8 2drs are such a small niche anymore, they do stand out in a world of CUVs and generic FWD sedans...

I had a rental '13 Camaro a couple years ago, same problem..I'm 6'0", my head is in the headliner, even w/ the seat reclined some...just like in my old Fox Mustang..but at least I can see out of that car..the tiny side windows made the Camaro a dark cave inside w/ big blind spots. On the other hand, the '15 Malibu and '15 Tahoe rentals I recently drove I fit into just fine..

This is all conjecture at this point, those aren't official renderings. But the side window profile does resemble the one silhouette profile rendering GM has released...at this point, the 6th gen appears like it will be a good evolution from the 5th gen. I like the current (5th gen) model quite a bit, never cared for the ugly 4th gen. I do hope they upgrade the interior materials and design, Camaros for years have suffered from cheap interior materials..

Always thought it was weird that Chevy, the entry level GM brand didn't have a Chevelle 2dr sedan from '70-72, yet Pontiac, Olds and Buick did..that made no sense.

The MPC/AMT '69 Olds 442 is considered the de facto chassis & suspension donor for '68-72 A-bodies like this, I believe..

There have been diecast Tesla roadsters, and there are diecast Tesla Model S coming I've read..
