  1. For 1:20th I like F1 kits in that scale, but really haven't gotten into street cars in that scale, though i do have a couple '70s MPC Corvettes and the Lindberg Grand Cherokee, Explorer, and S10. It would be interesting to see a list of what Lindberg made in that scale, I remember seeing them on the shelves back in the day...that they were molded in color was a bigger turn off to me than the scale.
  2. Yes...I have one of the '62 annuals, has an opening trunk..don't know if any of the later issues had that detail. The circa-1978 'Countdown Series' issue I built as a kid doesn't.
  3. And a '65 Plymouth, '63 Dodge and Plymouth, etc. Though those are all readily available in resin, it would be nice to see them in styrene.
  4. Not Tom, but it would stand to reason that if other tooling existed and was viable they would have already issued it...
  5. Sounds like that effort never got off the ground from what I've read elsewhere. One of the principals pulled out or something like that.
  6. Sharp build...I love the '60s Galaxie...I bought a mint unbuilt sealed one of these about 10 years ago, the windshield frame is broken. Still haven't gotten around to building it...
  7. I love those Johan AMC kits. I have the common items ('69 AMX, Rebel Machine, S/C Rambler) but the more obscure items ('67-69 Ambassador, '69 Rebel, '68-70 Javelin) are all on my grail list...
  8. I got to thinking about this--it seems to me that the Lindberg '90s era kits ('53 Ford, '61 Impala, '64 Dodge & Plymouth, etc) were the first kits Lindberg ever did in 1:25th...previous Lindberg-branded 1:25th models were ex-IMC, Pyro, or Palmer tools....maybe there is something obscure I'm missing, though. True enough...IMC was long before my time, the only IMC origin kits I have are later Testors or Lindberg reissues.
  9. I would think they would issue Lindberg items under the Lindberg brand...Round 2 generally has been consistent lately with use of the AMT brand, the MPC brand, Polar Lights..though the '34 Ford truck I can definitely see reissued as an AMT w/ period box art..I'd bet 99% on that one, and I'm not a gambler...
  10. Maybe a reality TV hoax gone bad.
  11. The Hawk stuff doesn't appeal to me either..with the Lindberg kits of the last 15 years or so ('53 Ford, '64 Dodge & Plymouth, '61 Chevy, '66 Olds, '66 Chevelle, etc) I have enough to meet my needs, but if they start tooling up variations of these... I can't imagine the 1/20th stuff that Lindberg did in the '90s will return..some interesting subjects, wrong scale. I do admit I have a soft spot for the '70s 1/32nd Lindberg snap kits (Granada, T-Bird, Charger, etc) because those kits are where I got my start in this hobby as a kid back in the day..and the HO scale Mini-Lindys are fascinating. I do wonder if any more of the old IMC tooling exists... I'd love to see some of their '60s racing cars return (GT-40, Chapparal, Lola, etc)..
  12. Is that the same wheel in the recent AMT '75 & '76 Gremlin reissues?
  13. Very sharp.
  14. Only the engine and chassis could be carried over from that kit to do a 2011+ car..would have to tool up new interior, body, glass, trim, wheels, etc. Plus, was that tooling even Lindbergs---it first appeared as a Testors kit back around 2007... Those are very nice, along w/ the '64 Dodge and Plymouth...but those weren't very recent-those first came out 15 years ago or more...
  15. Maybe, but Lindberg has been among the walking dead for years...they haven't made any effort to produce anything original in a long time.
  16. Very interesting... will be interesting to see what Round 2 does with Lindberg tools in the coming years.
  17. Odd how the cap doesn't go the full length of the bed..don't think I've ever seen anything like that in 1:1.
  18. I've heard the Jada Econoline is pretty innacurate, though.
  19. A 1st gen Econoline van and pickup along w/ a 1st gen Bronco would be neat future subjects for Moebius to go w/ their '67-72 F-series.
  20. Interesting....the front end doesn't look like the 1:1 concept, though. Looks like a stock bumper. Maybe AMT took some creative license..
  21. Interesting..never seen the Autolite Special or Iron Horse kits. Neither of those are the same as the 1:1 Mach 1 concept car that Greg posted, though. Did AMT do a kit of that concept car? I like the wheels...
  22. The parts I ordered 17 months ago have never arrived either....nor have my emails received replies. If they are out of business, why is their website still up and able to take orders? Why not respond to email questions about existing orders? I don't get it. They just don't seem to comprehend 'customer service'. It's not the money--I'm only out $20 or so, but the parts I ordered aren't available AFAIK from other casters (uptops for the Revell '69 Camaro convertible).
