  1. The '61 roof looks good on the '62 body..I have the JF resin body to do one eventually w/ the AMT '62 Catalina..
  2. You are wrong. Look it up.
  3. Probably younger people that don't know these details. Though such information is readily available on the internet and in the literature.
  4. The bubble roof was '61, the '62 Catalina 2dr ht roofline is same as the Grand Prix. '63 is when the Grand Prix got it's own unique roofline...
  5. Revell's only upcoming announced Corvette new issues that I know of are an all-new '62 roadster and a '63 Corvette Grand Sport race car (reissue of an Accurate Miniatures kit, I think). AMT has a '12 Corvette coupe curbside out now and a '12 convertible coming soon..
  6. It's the same kit. Different box. About the only change normally between a RoG box and a Revell US version are the license plate decals.
  7. Other than the race car kits, it's too bad a '73-74 Chevelle was never kitted....it would be fun to make a model replica of the car in 'Drive'..
  8. See the posting above by Sickfish..that has pictures of the kit contents.
  9. It's a reissue of the AMT one is my understanding.
  10. Lots of good stuff happening in '12 from reissues to new tool kits. January has been good so far....looking forward to seeing what gets announced in the spring..
  11. Interesting...I have no interest in the Roth aspect but a semi-stock '56 would be neat...the stock wheels would interest me. I wasn't aware of the rear window differences between issues.
  12. The question is, does the Ed Roth version have those parts as well?
  13. Looking at the box art pic Revell is showing, it has strange hubcaps it looks like....IIRC, the red stock kit had steelies w/ dog dish hubcaps...I wonder if this version has those also. I have an old builtup original issue one that was in a group of kits I bought about 20 years ago, but haven't had any of the later issues..
  14. Very cool scratchbuilding effort.
  15. Ah, my bad..didn't read closely enough. I'd love to go to the Bathurst race..it looked incredible on TV this year...
  16. Looking good on the interior detailing...looking forward to seeing the finished model.
  17. I don't see a correlation between full detail vs curbside and the quality of tires. Good tires are good tires. Generally, Japanese kits have better tires (talking about recently tooled kits, not talking about 40 yr old Doyusha or Union kits)... As far as Revell kits, tires have been a week point with Revell kits for decades. I generally like Revell and (ex-Monogram kits), but Revell tires aren't the best, and often unrealistic.
  18. IIRC, the only 2wd version of the MPC '78-84 Chevy/GMC pickups was the original '78 Chevy. Revell also did a 2wd Chevy pickup of that era, sat with a rake, always issued as a kind of street machine..kind of simplified compared to the MPC.
  19. I don't think I'd like moderating..I'd be banning people every 5 minutes.
  20. And the V8 Supercars race series...and Midnight Oil, INXS, Cate Blanchett..
  21. Sharp....I like the color.
  22. They make Holdens. Which briefly resulted in the cool Pontiac G8 here (and now the fleet-only Caprice PPV).
  23. That's going to be cool...
  24. Welcome to the jungle.
  25. And often sunny. I lived in Florida 6 years and Arizona almost 4 years now. Two very different climates, but with some similarities.
