  1. Similar idea...'Amigo Pack' was a Revell brand...
  2. Both of those were Polar Lights tools originally IIRC...though both were later issued in AMT box art also IIRC...
  3. Waiting on a couple old annuals from eBay. AMT '66 Lincoln and Jo-han '67 Eldorado.
  4. IIRC, they were the same though the JL versions included a 1:64th scale diecast. These were made back when RC2 owned the AMT, MPC, PL and JL brands (JL has since been sold off to Tomy and AMT/MPC/PL to Round 2)..
  5. The Revell Lowrider custom is an '80-84 style Coupe de Ville w/ 90-92 style Brougham headlights, etc and side trim. Nothing like the '76.
  6. My goal is to keep my Mustang as original as possible so I won't need to restore it...had it almost 25 years... I have thought of doing a bit of restoration on my Jeep eventually if I keep it...could use a paint job, some dents removed, new rear bumper cover...though I may eventually trade up to a new GC when I move to a place w/ more severe winters...
  7. Maybe it was the same person that built the box art kit for the recently released '77 Chevy van..it shows the mirrors mounted high also.
  8. Well, it is a custom, so I wouldn't expect it to resemble a stock 1:1....it does seem to build as an interesting custom, though.
  9. The Metro has been out of production for over a decade, haven't seen one in ages...somewhere someone probably has one stashed away w/ 10 miles on it...
  10. The Revell '77 GMC 4x4 w/ snowplow that was announced at iHobby last year. Reissue of an old Monogram kit now w/ a snowplow.
  11. I remember pagers..had one for work in the late '90s. Got my first cell phone in 96 IIRC, Motorola Star Tac flip phone...big, heavy phone...about the same time I got my first laptop, a heavy Toshiba Satellite...had a Palm Pilot then also. Never have been much into texting, though.
  12. Yeah, I've seen quite a few wide open spaces....I've driven across the void from Reno to SLC to Cheyenne before, I-40 from Flagstaff AZ to Albuquerque and vice versa many times (when driving between Phoenix and Denver), I-80 across Nebraska, Phoenix to LA on I-10, Phoenix to San Diego via Yuma and I-8, etc.. Vast empty areas where cruise control is good to have, never let the gas tank go below half a tank, have plenty of coffee or Red Bull, and often not have a cell phone signal...
  13. Any Revell Impala ht would be good..nicely done, easy to find...they've done all the '58-66 except for '61 (which Lindberg does)..
  14. I'm sure it's definitely economic...not cost effective. Same w/ internet...I know some people that can't get internet access except for satellite service out in the sticks.... I couldn't imagine living where there is no cell service, or no high speed internet (couldn't imagine using dialup again). I'm frustrated I can't get FIOS here in the 6th largest US city...
  15. Yeah, in the metro area...but out in the mountains, 150-200 miles from Denver, there are places with little or no cell coverage..been there...
  16. I've definitely been in areas in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico where I've had no cell coverage...made sure I had a full tank of gas, etc before venturing there...
  17. There are some voids in the US w/ no cell coverage, like Green Bank, WV which is intentional because of the radio telescope, and other places that are too rural...
  18. Interesting... I've seen some people in the US put JDM fender mirrors on their Japanese cars...used to see a CR-V like that around here...still had the US style door mirrors also.
  19. Crowded streets, narrow parking spaces?
  20. Currently have 3 or 4... In storage in Ohio, my '87 Mustang GT (63k miles) In AZ, '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee (135k miles) '11 Cadillac STS (5000 miles): and an '84 Merc 500SEL (~200k miles) that I got from my sister a few years ago..
  21. Neat...I saw that movie about 10-12 years ago late at night..had insomnia and was watching TV around 2am...
  22. There were still cars made into the mid '80s w/o passenger side mirrors..my first car ('84 Escort) had only a manual driver's side mirror. Everything I've had after that has had dual power mirrors... As far as models w/ outside mirrors, at least for AMT/MPC/Monogram/Revell it seems it was uncommon for stock exterior mirrors to be included on kits tooled into the '70s and '80s IIRC...
  23. That's covered by the 'original issue' selection, I would think. I have a lot of old kits that I bought used as restorable builtups, as well as unbuilt originals.
  24. Amazing that something with that much detail could be cast as one piece.
