  1. Some pretty ugly add-ons on that Mustang..
  2. It was over $4 in '08, so been there, done that.
  3. Very sharp...
  4. I predict they will be released in the future...
  5. Yeah, one of those or one of these.... http://www.plan59.com/images/JPGs/buick_1956_roadmaster_white_red_1.jpg
  6. Oh yeah...would love to see one of those in 1:25th. A mid to late '50s Buick or Olds would be great to see also...
  7. I like the Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles...
  8. I have friends in Portland..I've been up there a few times, nice and green...Portland is also on my radar.
  9. I hear you...I have thought about moving to the mountains in Colorado (one of my favorite places in the US) and trying to do remote independent contract work, but I don't like working alone at home all the time, and the job market is too flaky..friends that have tried that ended up having to drive 4 hours every week back and forth to the airport for work travel. I also like being close to the usual urban/suburban basics (lots of interesting restaurants, concert venues, Target, Starbucks, etc).
  10. Beautiful. Will go nicely w/ the AMT '57...
  11. Been there, done that...grew up in a very rural part of Eastern Ohio...long time until I'm ready for retirement, so being close to a hub airport and the usual big city amenities and tech job market is a necessity for me...
  12. Wyoming is way too rural for me...when I move out of Phoenix, most likely I'll be moving back to Denver, or to the Seattle area, or Pittsburgh (family in Ohio is trying to get me to move back). Though there are several areas in California I like that have plenty of career opportunities...San Diego, Orange County, Bay Area...
  13. At least it's not deformed w/ an ugly giant scoop like the cars that pass for 'Pro Stock' these days...
  14. I think the tiny wheels, oversized hood scoop and power glide (isn't that an ancient 2-spd?) are because it's for drag racing use only...not street legal.
  15. Never had any of my issues of MCM arrive mangled...the only mag I subscribe to that arrives bagged is Collectible Automobile.
  16. I remember the helicopter kit, never saw the Blazer kit. As far as these kits, I have the original GMC pickup and Blazer (missing the mirrors, but complete otherwise), the 90s reissue of the Chevy pickup, and Madd Mudder. Looking forward to the upcoming reissue of the GMC. Another Monogram pickup of this era is the Snap Tite GMC tow truck, which was recently reissued...I have the '90s issue of it, one thing I didn't like was how the windshield shade was molded in place.
  17. I think an easier way to do an '80-86 fleetside would be to use the AMT '92-93 as a starting point (they did shortbed and longbed fleetsides) w/ the MPC '82 Bronco for the front end (and rework the rear fenderwell openings to the older style). The Bronco was reissued about 5 years ago..
  18. The original and a reissue w/ a boat and boat trailer (in the '90s?) are what I remember...there may have been a 'High Roller' issue also.
  19. Model Roundup has them for preorder at $19.90...I'll probably get one, never had one of the AM releases.
  20. I remember as a teenager in the '80s being on a family vacation in Michigan's Upper Peninsula..went into a drugstore in a small town and found a bunch of models, bought several Johans incl. the '74 Cutlass snap kit, '66 Marlin, and '68 Caddy convertible...
  21. Well, he could have just said he bought it on eBay rather than claiming something else...
  22. I did...but I think they were on a hard drive that later failed...this was probably back around 2004. I went to an NSX meetup w/a buddy that has an NSX and 4 Skylines showed up, all RHD MotorRex imports--2 R32s (gray and white) and two R34s (black and blue)...
  23. Sharp build..that bright blue seems to be the signature color of the R34, seen so many pics of 1:1s in that color...saw a 1:1 in Denver once in that color.
  24. Speaking of farm equipment and models, when I grew up in Ohio, there was a store called Quality Farm & Fleet (I think it was a chain)..they had a great selection of ERTL models and diecast IIRC, around 1980 or so...
  25. Me a couple years ago w/ one of my dogs..
