  1. Too often. Too easy to get online when I work from home (which is most of the time lately).
  2. I do wonder if the new Fusion nose styling will lead to a lawsuit from A-M....it does seem awfully similar. Though no one is likely to confuse a fwd family/rental sedan for a six-figure sports coupe..
  3. The Kia ad was strange... the guys from Motley Crue look pretty rough these days. And what about the Chevy truck ad w/ the Manilow song? Takin' a swipe at Ford.. liked the Fiat ad also.
  4. I've never worked in a neighborhood where they were prevalent, but I've sampled a few in downtown Portland and LA....had some really tasty food from them.
  5. Sharp build....I like Synergy Green. I've got one so far, 2 more on the way. I plan to do one of them as a phantom 'ZR1' using the engine and clear hood panel from the Corvette ZR1 and BBS wheels (the ZR1 kit wheels are too tiny).
  6. Ok, so it's a 25yr old kit w/ new decals.
  7. I'm a Democrat, a leftie, and I didn't see any political angle to the ad..thought it was a great ad with iconic Clint...
  8. I wouldn't believe anything from Faux News..that's just right-wing propaganda....
  9. Sharp build. I have the AAM version in my to-build closet. Got to build it eventually, probably in an early '70s brown or green.
  10. IIRC, Monogram issued a sprint car back in the '80s, reissued a few times into the '90s in different liveries...I assume this is based on those kits (w/ some changes maybe)?
  11. The tall chunky one.. They went to my undergrad college, albeit at least 15 years before I did..
  12. I usually have ended up waiting until the week before Halloween to prepare a costume...for 10+ years I've gone to a friend's Halloween party in Denver...adults, plenty of adult beverages and music..can be fun. I went as Dilbert one year, Tony Soprano another year, Eminem one year, a member of Devo one year, etc...
  13. Too many to count..30+ years collecting Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Tomica, Johnny Lighting, Greenlight, M2, etc...
  14. I'll admit I'm biased as I own a Jeep, but I definitely will have more Chrysler products in my future..thinking about another Grand Cherokee eventually (useful when I move to a snowy climate again) and maybe a Challenger (or 300).
  15. Interesting...too pricey for me. Now if it were a 330p or 512 priced similar to their Lola T-70, I'd be interested..
  16. Wild...customized schoolbuses. Way back in the day when I was in elementary school (late '70s) I remember riding in old IH Loadstar and Ford F700 based buses...
  17. My favorite was the Chrysler/Clint ad...liked the Leno/Seinfeld Acura one also.. thought the Kia one was pretty blah (though Adriana Lima helped spice it up a bit), and the Camry ads were dull ads for a dull appliance.
  18. Anyone know what season this car represents? I don't know much about WOO cars, but do know Steve Kinser has been racing a long time..
  19. As far as Monogram 1:24th scale kits, Iv'e always avoided their tri-five kits--like their '69 Camaro, something always seemed off about those kits to me. On the other hand, I've built many '80s-era Monogram 1:24th muscle cars, NASCAR stockers, etc...
  20. The strangest aspect about the '55 hts is both the old 1:24th Monogram '55 ht and the newer Revell 1:25th '55 have been both available in recent years in Monogram box art w/ black cars on the boxes. I think they should stick w/ Monogram labeling on Monogram-origin tooling and Revell for the Revell-origin tooling.
  21. Yes..not sure why it's not that way now...odd to see no general section.
  22. The existing 'Other Models' section seems like a good place for zombie/sci-fi etc stuff. One thing I would like to see added is a general 'Racing Models' section--there is a 'Drag Racing Models' and a 'NASCARS' section, but no general racing section...would be nice for us F1/Indy/road racing/etc fans...
  23. My modeling table in general is too high for the dogs to reach... one afternoon last spring, though, a hood ('68 Coronet) I had been cleaning up went missing...found it in the backyard w/ tiny bite marks all over it...hmm. Apparently, the 5lb Yorkie jumped into my chair, then onto the modeling table, grabbed the hood, took it outside, got bored and left it...just glad she didn't pick up a tiny part and choke on it.
