Don't think there is any difference between the SS and RS bumper..according to the GM site, the RS package adds 20 inch aluminum-colored wheels, body color roof ditch molding, HID headlights and body-color shark fin antenna, and a badge.. the box art picture is of a 1:1 LT/RS instead of an SS..

Nice...never seen that kit. Love racing cars of that era.

The 'Resto Rods' series was a weak effort from RC2 to cash in on the Pro Touring trend, their answer to Revell's 'California Wheels' and 'Motor City Muscle' series...their 'Rides' series of reissues were just as bad, reissues w/ poorly tooled, cheesy new parts, IMO..

It's been a while since I looked at one, but IIRC all the Resto Rods had the same marginal, generic optional engine..

I've never had an AMT Pinto..have a couple of the MPC ones, a '76 coupe and a '77 wagon. How were the AMT ones relative to the MPC ones?

I like any of the reissues of long-gone annuals or other stock subjects, especially those from the '70s. Really liking the Gremlin and Chevy van, looking forward to the Ford van and whatever comes next...would like to see the stock Matador or a Pacer, Pinto... how about the Volare? The '77 Vega body was modified into the '78 Monza 'S' last seen in the Twister Vega variation..don't know if Round 2 would consider retooling that..

Good question..don't know if I ever noticed the difference..I didn't use the decals when I built mine as a kid 30+ years ago..

An AMT curbside convertible kit is coming, don't know if it will have an uptop or not...looking forward to that one. My local Chevy store has a couple goregous convertibles on the lot, wouldn't mind doing a kit in a similar color combination to ones I've seen there..

Interesting..hadn't noticed the box art pic was of a 1:1 V6 model..I guess Round2/AMT didn't proofread their box art closely. It will be fun to sit this kit or the Revell one down w/ one of the concept car models and see the differences...the concept car body was a hardtop, lower and wider than the production car, and a bit longer w/ a lot of detail differences...

Well, technology--especially consumer electronics--is such a big part of living in the modern world that it's a lot of fun to talk about..and this week is the CES convention in Vegas...lots of cool gadgets announced there.

I have two of them, actually...my old one-a 2nd gen TiVo (low-def) and an HD TiVo Premiere Elite. Using a cable card w/ Cox. Cox does have an HD DVR cable box available, but I want to keep my content on my own box so when I move I can take it with me..

And also for home...one of my banks' website only supports IE...

I have to for work....to test web applications that I develop on IE. I run Windows on Parallels VM on the Mac.

I love my tiVo..I hate trying to watch something w/ commercials w/o it...

A 6 would be nice for a build..any out there in resin? I can't think right off of a kit that might have one appropriate for that vintage...maybe a Jeep kit? Or a rare Johan Rambler? And is it me, or do the kit's stock wheels seem rather deep?

LoL..yeah..one of things I noticed first when I went to HD was that you see skin blemishes, etc people have and also bad makeup jobs.
