  1. Interesting...I remember Burger Chef..had one in New Philadelphia, Ohio that I frequented as a kid, the particular location became a Hardees..
  2. The C5-R looks the same to me as the yellow version except for new decals.
  3. Looks pretty good for a modern compact..not as overstyled as the Elantra or Focus, not as bland as the Cruze, Corolla, Sentra, or Civic... http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/07/this-is-the-2013-dodge-dart-w-video/
  4. The custom front end in this issue is unchromed, a one piece recessed tube-style grille w/ a custom roll pan where the bumper would be w/ two small slots on the right and left side of the pan. Also has an optional sun roof, rear louvers, chrome side pipes and plastic side sills w/ exhaust cut outs..not sure if there are any other A-Team parts included--the turbine wheels and GMC grille aren't here.
  5. Some very nice builds..I have one of these kits, haven't built it yet..thought about trying to convert one into a stock STS, would require quite a bit of work I think... would like to do one like mine..
  6. Picked up an AMT Dirty Donny Chevy van today at a LHS...(still waiting on the one I ordered). Nice..reminds me a lot of the Kandy Van version I built as a kid 33 years ago...has the stock '71/72 body w/ trim, steelies and dds....I'll probably build one as a custom van (has portholes and skylights on the clear tree, roof wing, custom front end, wide 5 spoke wheels) w/ murals, one as a plain beater van, and one as a cut down for an motorhome conversion I've been wanting to do for a while...

  8. Italeri Ferrari 275 N.A.R.T. Spyder.
  9. I ordered one from Model Roundup. If my LHS gets them, maybe I'll get a second from there...
  10. Yes, AMT did the Sunliner convertible and Starliner fastback as annuals w/ engines..I've got a couple of 'em. The formal-roof coupe like this kit was always a curbside, though.
  11. Hmmmm...I think Chuck's avatar is an image from the movie 'Maximum Overdrive'...
  12. There is a Harlingen, Texas...there is also an Arlington, Texas.
  13. IMO, GM has a few truly stunning cars now...the CTS coupe and Camaro come to mind. But they also have a lot bland FWD appliances to pay the bills...
  14. Interesting..I remember he did a few '65 or so heavy duty models, incl. a crew cab.
  15. That's just speculation at this point..nothing has been announced that I know of..but I'm sure there will be some foilowup variations to the '57 Ford Tudor...
  16. Not to change the subject, but the spelling of explode in the subject line reminds me of a fake sports drink ad I saw a few years ago for a product called 'Splode'..
  17. That would be a good subject for Moebius to do..would fit well w/ their Chrysler 300. It's already been done well in diecast, but a styrene one would be interesting...
  18. Surprised this one isn't in the Joe Bortz collection...I've heard of that museum, but never been there (was on the opposite side of the state from me, IIRC)...
  19. Hmmm.... I seem to remember the '70s 'Kandy Van' version I built as a kid having a smooth roof. The A-Team version had a smooth roof w/ a sunroof opening, IIRC...
  20. It's pretty clear that it's an aftermarket design..pretty cheesy... The white car was a Chevy concept from 2010..don't think that one is going anywhere. It will be interesting to see if GM introduces any other 2dr models beyond the current Camaro, Corvette, and Cadillacs....the upcoming '13 Caddy ATS (new compact RWD model on the Alpha platform) will probably have a coupe for '14...the next Camaro is supposed to downsize a bit and move to the Alpha platform as well (the current Camaro is on Zeta which the Commodore, Caprice, and G8 use..)
  21. Cool...nice to hear of a '60s Dodge truck...maybe they will do later variations eventually (I like the front end of the '68-'69 and '70-71 vintage more)...the 'Dude' would be a neat variation.
  22. Nice...steelies and DDs just look so right on many Mopies, IMO...
  23. The Dart is going to compete w/ the existing Cruze...rumor is that GM will show a Cruze coupe. Those home made GTO 'Chevelles' are hideous...
  24. Sweet Charger..very clean! Got a restorable, partially built AMT Lola 70 today..
