  1. I would assume when jacked up, the wheel would fall down a few inches...
  2. I'd definitely like to see more modern cars kitted. I was born in '70, grew up in the '70s-80s...have loads of kits of '60s-70s subjects that I like...the '50s and older are too far before my time to be of much interest to me..have kits of some cars from before the '60s, but it's not my main area of interest. Reissues of '70s-80s subjects are welcome by me, that was the era I started building kits (1978, to be exact). Alas, many of the interesting cars of the late '70s were never kitted (like the '77-79 Caprice, '76-77 Cutlass Supreme, etc). Lots of modern subjects would be great in 1:25th or 1:24th scale beyond the usual Camaro/Corvette/Mustang/Challenger subjects---I'd like to see the new Charger and Chrysler 300, Ram truck, Ford Raptor, Cadillac CTS (esp. the V-series coupe or wagon), the new '12 Porsche 911, other current Porsches like the Boxster Spyder, GTS or Turbo, the Audi A4/S4 and A5/S5, A8, various Mercedes sedans and coupes (esp. the AMG versions), the current BMW Z4, M3, M5, etc. There are lots of interesting modern subjects that could be kitted. I'd like to have kits of modern SUVs also...the current Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Tahoe or Yukon, as well as the Cayenne, Escalade, etc would be interesting in kit form.
  3. Ah...wondered about that..thought it was a misspelling of 'Roadster'....but it's definitely not in Rat Rod style.
  4. Clever idea and clean execution!
  5. If the '57 Ford is successful, maybe it will spawn variations down the road..a Ranchero or 2dr Ranch Wagon would be neat.
  6. The Daytona coupe would be sweet...I thought Fujimi was looking at doing it at one time...
  7. Hopefully..it's too bad, though, that the Shelbys and GT kits are last years versions.
  8. I was dissapointed there was no 2012 Mustang Boss 302 announced...maybe in April.
  9. Would be interesting to put the snowplow on the '57 Ford (and add snowtires).
  10. On other forums it was said this was an 'all-new' kit. The 1:1 must have had two different engine builds..some of the pics I've seen show a hood w/ portholes down the middle.
  11. Very odd about the box art for the '10' Camaro convertible..there was no '10 Camaro convertible--it came out for '11, and the photos are of the European-spec 1:1 '11--note the larger mirrors and wide number plates...
  12. Interesting..probably in the style of the Challengers. I've read they are doing an indy Pace Car promo..
  13. I think this is the simplified snap kit version of the turbine car, not the full detail. The full detail one I built in the '80s had some very thin pieces and lots of flash..
  14. I just noticed the Revell Chevy van is listed as 1:24th...was this originally a Monogram kit? I remember the version from the '90s w/ the race car trailer, but not before that..
  15. Apparently, he's a mural painter...looks like a neat issue of the van, has a choice of '70s style mural decals for the sides.
  16. What's wrong w/ the AMT '51 Chevy kit hood? The clear tree has what looks like the hardtop window piece...hmmm....maybe they are saving the hardtop and uptop for the 2nd issue?
  17. Definitely going to want a Cutlass or two. I built one of the snap kit versions about 25 years ago...
  18. Wonder whatever happened to the 'Lawman' '64 Belvedere variation that Lindberg announced last year...a no go I guess.
  19. Though these are billed as '1st half 2012 releases', I'm sure we will be sitting here 1 year from today waiting on some of them..... tick tick tick
  20. So for 2012, they will announce...? It's after 3pm in Chicago now...
  21. Looking forward to seeing the AMT van again also..I built one version of it as a kid in the '70s (called 'KandyVan' IIRC) and the reissue of the A-Team version. Short bed fleetside. Looks like the snow plow parts are new.
  22. Lotsa reissues, but a few that I can use seconds of, like the Caddy lowrider and GMC pickup. I've never had the Revell Chevy van--how does it compare to the AMT of the same era? The Corvettes look interesting, as does the '50 Olds and '57 Ford.
  23. I went to a nice little car event at Laguna Seca Raceway in California this past weekend. Saw a lot of interesting Porsches. Some incredible historically significant race cars there. More pics here: http://public.fotki.com/robertwadehall/rennsport-reunion-iv/
  24. Love the 3rd pic, the flying Westie.... love my Westies, but my boy Dooder is 14 and in failing health..
