  1. I wonder if some sort of small FWD Ford sporty coupe could work again..there has been buzz of a Capri revival in Europe (based either on the Focus or the next-gen Mondeo/Fusion). In the US Ford only has 1 2dr currently (Mustang). GM abandoned the small coupe market when they went from the Cobalt to the Cruze, Chrysler has nothing like that...only the Accord, Civic, Altima, Koup and Eclipse coupes are left (and the Eclipse is going soon). (the Genesis is RWD).
  2. Actually, it's on Revell's website...so it's easy to find with a little effort. Apparently, for 2012 they are planning on releasing a '50 Olds 88 and a '57 Ford Tudor, as Snap Tite kits. And likely a Ferrari FF (which I assume will be a RoG kit).
  3. I haven't seen a Probe in years...I have a buddy that used to have a 2nd gen GT...they were pretty nice. Trivia--The 3rd gen was called the Mercury Cougar (Ford Cougar in Europe).
  4. Yes, I saw it last night on that other site..
  5. Proper punctuation, grammar, and spelling are essential to effective communication, whether in writing or on the internet. Also, use of IM/Chat style speak ('u' for you, 2 for 'to', etc) is really annoying....
  6. Ah, yeah..the new Revell releases mentioned in passing on the Revell website....interesting stuff..
  7. Sweet build..the color reminds me of a Model Master silver blue I used years ago to paint an AMT '67 Cougar..
  8. Yeah, it's like with old AMT kits...the molded in exhaust, suspension, and wire axles don't bother me at all....what counts for me are the accurate body, interior, engine...
  9. True..but with shipping, one would be close to $50. I wonder what hobby shops are charging for them (haven't been in one in a couple months).
  10. The rear wheel wells being wider than stock is a good thing to me...allows using wider tires than the bicycle width stock '60s style tires.. I haven't bought either of the Falcons yet, I have builtups of the old AMTs, but it looks like the Trumpeter kits, as it always is with Trumpeter kits, have a variety of issues...
  11. Lots of memories...I'll never forget the first time I drove my Dad's 69 Mustang, '67 (289) & '68 Cougars (302 and 390 XR-7) This was after I learned to drive in the contemporary family cars back in the mid '80s ('84 Lincoln Town Car, '84 Ford Escort diesel (which became my first car), '83 Thunderbird).
  12. Got the new issue today...looks good at first glance..
  13. Nice to see it molded in white. I built the original issue molded in bright blue back in the day...may have to build another and swap for Rally wheels w/ a Cuda or Challenger kit.
  14. I haven't bought any models in a month, but I did get a new 1:1 Monday afternoon.
  15. Sweet build..I love those racing 911s. I have the undecorated version of that Fujimi kit...don't know how I'm going to do it.
  16. Still have my '00 Grand Cherokee (130k miles) and my '87 Mustang GT (65k miles). I decided to treat myself to a new car this week, inspired after a month of 80 hr work weeks..mega stressful, and the A/C in the Jeep is getting not-so-cold and other old-car problems... I can use some smooth, quiet luxury in my life. Picked up an '11 Cadillac STS Monday night. Leaving on a 5 day road trip to the mountains and the sea tomorrow, a little break before I get back to normal 40 hr weeks next week. Edit: I just remembered--Revell sort of did a kit of an earlier version of this car..their blingy STS-v kit. Maybe with a lot of work I could sorta kinda approximate the look of this car..
  17. Sharp build..the '71 Charger design lends itself to PT style builds..I like the idea of using the V10. I have a couple spare Vipers for similar ideas on my long-range to build list.
  18. Thanks..every day I live with the regret of moving from Colorado to Arizona 3 years ago. Worst decision of my life.
  19. Yeah...Phoenix has been very mild this summer so far, IMO. At least compared to the last 3 summers (moved here in '08 from Denver). I grew up in E Ohio and S Florida, I know how sticky nasty summers there can be.
  20. I could probably look into solar..but I don't care..I plan to be out of AZ before next summer..
  21. I try and keep my house around 77 degrees...the electric bill is about $400/month in summer doing that..
  22. I used to live in the Florida Keys (Marathon)...I remember the winters were great, a bit hot and humid in the summers. And then there was hurricane season...
  23. Been cooler than usual for July here in Phoenix. Low 100s and dry....had another haboob dust storm last night, freaky.. looking forward to taking a long weekend next week and going to the beach.
  24. Problem is they would have to have holes or notches in the bumpers for the guards. So those wouldn't work well for plain bumpers. I like that they have different bumpers between some issues, can always mix and match like I've don'e w/ the '55 convertible and hardtops.
  25. Maybe..I haven't built any of my previous issue ones and don't recall what the drag parts were exactly. I think so...the same low profile tires.
