Hmmm...grails. About 15 years ago, I started a grail list of AMT, MPC, and Johan annuals from '58 to about '80. I've found many that are on my list that were semi-hard to find ('67 Galaxie ht & conv, '66 Buick Gran Sport, '59-70 Bonnevilles, '59-72 Impalas and '73-76 Caprices, late 60s-early '70s MPC Mopars, etc). But I still have many on my to-find list--early '60s AMT Mopars (Imperials, Valiants, etc), various '60s compacts (Chevy IIs, Corvairs, Falcons), early '70s MPC Firebirds and Camaros to name a few. Also still looking for some Italeri Ferraris that I missed out on 20 years ago..

Sharp..nice and familiar looking. Too bad the current style Impala isn't available in 1:24/5th...I see a lot of those in Phoenix police livery. I've seen a couple of Magnums in Scottsdale Police livery.

I remember those.. the Ramblers always seemed to have crushed roofs due to being too tightly packaged.

I do wonder what the age range breakdown of active modelers are...when I go to shows or swap meets, the majority of the crowd seems to be 50+.

It's too bad they didn't at least change the wheels and tires...

Another one I like is Archer, kind of spoof of spy movies.

I think the Monogram '64 is going to be or has been recently reissued recently molded in white.

On one of the other forums someone posted a pic of the box this resin kit comes in, apparently, it's a Husdon Hollywood instead of a Hudson Hollywood.

As an adult, I still enjoy watching the Simpsons occasionally, South Park, and the golden oldie from my college days--Beavis and Butthead! I used to watch Ren & Stimpy, and once in a while catch Metalocalypse (Dethklok!!)

Yeah, DW's hot lap was the highlight of the weekend....Saturday was a long evening between watching Bathurst and the Japanese Grand Prix.

Any vintage Johan would be welcome by me, esp. Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles, AMCs, and Mopars...

Maybe it will be out by the time Revell kits a 2012 Mustang...in 2014..

Interesting pursuit this guy is doing. Personally, I prefer to stay with vehicles made in this century..I like the reliablity, safety and amenities of modern cars...

I went, I saw, I bought.. Found a couple goodies-Fujimi '71 Monza winner Porsche 917K and an AMT '32 Ford Tudor (I have the modern Revell one, but have always wanted the AMT one).

The two I have I bought over 10 years ago, in restorable built form (one w/ the box and some parts still on the trees and the instructions included). Paid around $50 or so for them IIRC. Similarly with the 2 '71s, 1 '72, 1 '73, and 2 '74s I have.

Interesting... does Welly do a stock version of the Tahoe?

USPS delivered the new Revell '48 Ford coupe and '59 Impala convertible reissue.

Cool..got to get one of those to go w/ Pacer, Pinto, and Vega kits. I like '70s oddities.

And to confuse matters further, Testors also did diecast Charger police cars. Those are different in that the Revell and Monogram brands are owned by the same company, likewise for AMT and MPC. Testors and Lindberg are not owned by the same company AFAIK. It's more like when ERTL/AMT issued an Aoshima kit under the AMT brand..

Not quite 100%---they are different trim versions of the Charger from the same tooling. Testors did the R/T and R/T Daytona, Lindberg has done the SRT8 Super Bee and police car. Differences in wheels, decals, and engine and hood (for the SRT8 version).
