  1. Sharp build...I've long thought they should have used a '61 instead of a '58 in the 'Christine' movie..the '61 Fury front end is much more evil looking than the '58...a very scary design. The '61 Fury must have terrified small children back in the day.
  2. Looking great...really like the inside and outside color schemes...
  3. Sharp build...I remember those from the Big 80s also...I had a buddy in high school back then that had an '87, in a red like that...he wrecked it when it was only a couple weeks old, spun it messed up the rear end...spent a while in a local body shop.
  4. Clean build..love those old Johans.
  5. Hobby Depot in Tempe still carries MCM IIRC. That's where I bought it before subscribing last year.
  6. 'MaxxForce'? What a name...sounds like a chessy '80s sci-fi movie or something...a big diesel, I presume?
  7. I've seen it online for preorder around $50...I figure a hobby shop will probably mark it at $65 or so..
  8. Mine came today also..will have to start reading it tonite..thumbed through it, looks like a great article on the Hubley Ford kits..
  9. I don't think there is much of anything stock on the '49 Merc..it's a pure custom.
  10. Some or all of the parts were in a previous issue of the HT...was a 2n1, stock and period custom..
  11. Who knows, maybe Revell will eventually do a stock-bodied 2dr based on the convertible tooling. I have little interest in customs, esp. chop tops...
  12. Dodge is bringing out a police package for the '11 eventually..that would be cool to see in a model. If Lindberg does it, it would be delayed 5 years, maybe Revell can do an '11 Charger by 2013..
  13. Interesting..I have the previous issue in my stash, but haven't seen it in probably 10 years or more..from the pic of the previous release, it looks more like a GMC grille...(maybe missing the badge?)
  14. It was a GMC...was last issued in the '90s, boxart pictured earlier in this thread.
  15. Yawn...a bunch of reissues...same ol', same ol'. Nice to see the Shelby in 1:25th, but it will be two years too late for a '10 when it comes out. Anyway, there are still at least 4-5 previously announced new tools coming in '11...(4 of which are '10s running late).
  16. Yeah, felt like 100 today..
  17. I thought this was pretty cool news, focusing on the '76 season.. Niki Lauda biopic article
  18. I've seen pictures of '46-48 Ford 2drs with 2 different door lengths..maybe a version w/ a backseat and a business coupe w/o a backseat. The IMC/Testors kit is the long door, I think. I have an unbuilt Testors coupe, thought about kitbashing it w/ a Revell '48 convertible..the multipiece body is 'interesting'..
  19. Cool..something completely different.
  20. Neat...looking forward to the reissue, never built this kit. What year did the original issue come out?
  21. I need to build some of mine and post pics...I started watching F1 (and Indy Car) on TV as a kid in the late '70s, and was a big fan through the '80s an and in recent years after going to a couple vintage racing events have become fascinated w/ F1 and sports car racing (Le Mans, Sebring, etc) of the '60s-70s, with the cars and the drivers...been building a collection of DVDs of racing of that era (season by season coverages and DVDs on specific drivers). My older sister is an even bigger F1 fan, she got into it in the late '60s.
  22. Beautiful build. I've gone as far as open the box on mine and study the instructions and parts trees, but have yet to start it. Love that era of F1...
