Ive dealt with Dave many times and will deal with him again. We can of like the same subjects, except for me and Pontiac. His stuff is equal to Modelhaus and alot less wait time. That being said there are no perfect kits that I know of.
Decades ago before I invested in opta-visors I thought moving up in scale might be good. WRONG! You can see more stuff easier, plus the space needed for when there built. I only finished one and that was the Corvette by MPC shown above. Have Camaro and Corvette started but won't fit in my Paint booth. And several in the box that will make someone happy when I'm gone.
The chrome only fit the 1964-65 heads. With the street hemi 1966-up they were black wrinkle finish. Why do you see chrome on later cars? They used the race heads in super stock, stock classes still used black. Hope that helped
I have dealt with them a few times and they have always been great. If there listening now ? It sure would be nice to have a bench seat for the new 1965 Plymouth thats coming.
I normaly deal with a lhs about 30 min drive. Glued the tailgate shut on a new Moebus ford and wanted another to try something different. I went to our Hobby lobby about ten minutes away. A while back they had one aisle of models and some diecasts on both sides with supplies in the next aisle on one side. Now they have kits on one side and supplies on the other of one aisle. Do Not carry Moebus and when I asked if they did was told they were fazing models out for not selling. Their located in Niles, Ohio.
Trans types, auto or stick , single or multiple carbs, bench or buckets would be a great start. I think alot of us build models of cars weve known or seen. This would help.
I don't mind springing for a brand new kit. But paying the new rates on kits that have been issued to infinity over and over and over I refuse. So I hope you hear ne Round 2. and revell.
