  1. Is anybody else having trouble with the forum not doing anything when hitting the back button ? Not my computer as everything and every other site works okay . I click on a read and when I'm done I hit the back button and the thing spins for a second and quits. I can reload the forum but no back to where I was .
  2. Wasn't there a article in S.A.E. a few years ago saving a 55 Pontiac wagon with Chevy parts?
  3. Does anyone make a 1960's Ford Econoline pick up ? I thought sure I seen one when I ordered the van but when I went back to get it I can't find anything. I don't think I'm confusing it with Little Red Wagon , because of the Ford vs Dodge but my mind ain't what it used to be. Thanks Guys.
  4. Before I go dreaming about some model that probably won't ever get made, How about a accurate 1965 Plymouth A990 .PLEASE.
  5. I think the roof might be different between hdtp and sdn
  6. If you clear over the black, it will be Gloss black.
  7. Man is a true craftsman and his work shows it. Great gut and great to deal with.
  8. Built a couple oh them. Don't see what all the fuss is about on body. Looks ok to me. 90% alcohol will strip paint overnight , even red. The crossram intake isn't correct but the exhaust system with the cutouts is over the moon. Does it snap together, no . But no problem glueing. Its based on a fancy coronet 500 with console and buckets. So not apt for a race car. Try it you'll like it.
  9. Steve, I tried a gun known as a jamb gun and I didn't think it atomized the paint fine enough. I didn't buy it for models, it was for 1 to1 projects in the driveway. I know alot of people like the Iwata's but for the life of me I don't know how you can beat the pasche VL VLS or the Badger 175. There probably cheaper. Lots of luck, everybody likes something different it makes the world go around.
  10. Just got 3 models from him last week. 64 ply sdn, 65 ch 2 and 65 valiant , all nice.
  11. Isn't Model Roundup from around there ?
  12. I had a friend who is now passed, he was a tool and die maker. On one of his tool boxes had his name and under it said Master Craftsman . I'd always look at it and one day I asked about it. He told me the college awarded him that and all it meant was he was able to teach there.
  13. Does super clean react to the plastic window glass in kits Thanks in advance.
  14. Well I don't want to start a war, but the higher the cost for a kit I think the kit should be more accurate , with a better fit and finish . Quality through out . For a $1.49 errors were okay , but at $30.00 not so even with inflation figured in , . Do you or anyone accept the fit and finish of your new 1 to 1 auto like was accepted back in the 60's. I think not, I am probably more of a collector but I enjoy when a kit falls together. If I have to do major surgery I want to do it on stuff I dream up not fixing factory screw ups. We need better quality control on all brands of kits, at least American kits. Thank you for letting me vent, and no I don't buy re-issuse from round to nausea .
  15. Thanks so much guys I really appreciate it.
  16. Whats the differences between the 71 and 92 series engines, and where would one look for an accurate detail of the V-12 ? Thank you
  17. Think positive and get well soon.
  18. Saw a TV show years ago interviewing Jr Johnson at his farm. He had a 1940 Ford coupe, black and his words were to go to a Caddy engine and if you needed more power go to a superchager. His had a Caddy and looked like it ran real well around the farm.
  19. I have dealt with them and they are great. Quick turn around nice parts , You name it . All Good.
  20. Duplicolor makes a spray can of primer sealer , but I agree with snake .
  21. I have one and it works great. recommended.
  22. I haven't had a problem since I did away with dupli-color That's about all you can find anymore. I have to special order plasticote.
  23. I'd buy a few 71's, didn't 72 have the bigger bumpers and less compression ?
