  1. There has been a 25% tariff on Chinese produced molding tools since 2018.
  2. I know your model is done and it's really nicely done. Small detail that really isn't important but the tail lamp had a small amber or orange lens in the light on the bottom.
  3. Interesting concept. Over all a great model. I love the detailing of the yellow inside the grille opening.
  4. Those headlight housings are from a 1942 or 46 chevy or GMC pick up
  5. I looked everywhere but all I can find is the diecast versions. I would not mind a kit of this.
  6. Superbee chassis will work in a pinch. You may have to lengthen it a bit to fit the wheelbase. That will get you all you need including the rear end.
  7. That one is the Lee kit. Trumpeter also did the car in both closed roof and an open top so the official could stand and wave to the proletariat as he rode by. Trumpeter's version is very much the same but had separate chrome exhaust. I have both, also the Lee kit. I built one of the Trumpeter kits and used some suspension pieces from a 1/20th scale S10 from Lindberg and used an engine from the Otaki Thunderbird with the Ford lettering filed off. The CA770 engine was cribbed from a Dodge 318 early style engine, very similar in design. I believe the Lee kit was a copy of the Trumpeter but there are some differences.
  8. Great work. License tag is very neat looking.
  9. That would be easy to make a Nova into an Acadian model. Except for the grille emblem, the grille seems to be the same as the Nove, just painted with the two ribs aluminum color. Not sure of the tail lamps.
  10. Nice score. You have a great friend, little lady.
  11. I have an Accurate Miniatures test shot of a 90 something NASCAR Taurus racer. Never released.
  12. Was this created from the Otaki Thunderbird?
  13. A little putty maybe?
  14. Awesome build. I'm going to have to buy another one. I gave the kit away to one of my cousins.
  15. Holy Moley. This is spot on in my eyes. I owned a 1972 Matador sedan that was an unmarked detective car for the Santa Barbara Police department. Very fast with the 401 V8.
  16. I know I have one. I will check it.
  17. Thanks on that, I may have one in the stash.
  18. Actually a 69. I don't think Beaumont made the little truck. Someone cobbled it from a Chevy. 68 had separate headlight bezels as well, 69 had the headlights surrounded by a single bezel
  19. Costly but NAPA can get a spray bomb made with the exact color you need. You can get single stage and be sure to use a good primer first.
  20. Looks like you will have shorten the bumper sides too.
  21. Is there a source for the Ford V6 as found in 80s Fox body cars? I'm doing my 83 Mercury Marquis Brougham station wagon build andf I need that particular engine. I've only ever seen the V8 or the inline 4 Turbo in Mustang kits.
  22. Rear half of frame is sort of close as is the front suspension. The engine is very different. The grille slats need to be changed. Ford used the same Fergie system for the towing of implements. It's doable but a lot of work. The hood is a bit different as well.
  23. That sure did come out good. The designer really knows his stuff.,
