Very nice work on this. Is the interior paint the same as the body? -
Nice start.

Formula 1 Cadillac
lordairgtar replied to lordairgtar's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well, Ferarri says transmission and power unit. I assumed that meant the engine as well. Ferrari has announced that it will be the power unit and gearbox supplier starting with the 2026 season. General Motors plans to develop its own F1 power unit and debut it for the 2028 season; however, Cadillac plans to take to the grid in two years before that, so the team needed to find a power unit partner to kick things off. The agreement between Ferrari and the Cadillac Formula 1 Team is subject to the team receiving confirmation from the FIA that its entry to the 2026 FIA Formula One Championship has been accepted and approved. The last paragraph is attributed to Road and Track article. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a63159641/cadillac-formula-1-team-will-race-with-ferrari-power-in-2026/ -

Where is it made?

There has been a 25% tariff on Chinese produced molding tools since 2018. -
I know your model is done and it's really nicely done. Small detail that really isn't important but the tail lamp had a small amber or orange lens in the light on the bottom.

Interesting concept. Over all a great model. I love the detailing of the yellow inside the grille opening. -

Those headlight housings are from a 1942 or 46 chevy or GMC pick up -
I looked everywhere but all I can find is the diecast versions. I would not mind a kit of this.

69 Dodge Polara CHP Cruiser in Queue.........
lordairgtar replied to Scott Eriksen's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Superbee chassis will work in a pinch. You may have to lengthen it a bit to fit the wheelbase. That will get you all you need including the rear end. -
That one is the Lee kit. Trumpeter also did the car in both closed roof and an open top so the official could stand and wave to the proletariat as he rode by. Trumpeter's version is very much the same but had separate chrome exhaust. I have both, also the Lee kit. I built one of the Trumpeter kits and used some suspension pieces from a 1/20th scale S10 from Lindberg and used an engine from the Otaki Thunderbird with the Ford lettering filed off. The CA770 engine was cribbed from a Dodge 318 early style engine, very similar in design. I believe the Lee kit was a copy of the Trumpeter but there are some differences.

Great work. License tag is very neat looking.

That would be easy to make a Nova into an Acadian model. Except for the grille emblem, the grille seems to be the same as the Nove, just painted with the two ribs aluminum color. Not sure of the tail lamps.

Nice score. You have a great friend, little lady.

Was this created from the Otaki Thunderbird?

A little putty maybe?

Awesome build. I'm going to have to buy another one. I gave the kit away to one of my cousins.

Holy Moley. This is spot on in my eyes. I owned a 1972 Matador sedan that was an unmarked detective car for the Santa Barbara Police department. Very fast with the 401 V8.

I know I have one. I will check it.

Thanks on that, I may have one in the stash.

Actually a 69. I don't think Beaumont made the little truck. Someone cobbled it from a Chevy. 68 had separate headlight bezels as well, 69 had the headlights surrounded by a single bezel
