  1. Just remember on these early issues the side windows are shaped wrong. The bottom sill isn't to slope upwards toward the windshield at all. It should be parallel to the ground front to rear. An easy fix.
  2. I know exactly where that is. I have family in Oostburg.
  3. I had to drive up to Horicon Wisconsin to take care of a legal matter relating to my over exuberance of hustling down the highway. Anyway, this area will be my new home soon as I am moving to the area. I am going to live in Theresa which is a very small village in Wisconsin. Mayville is the larger city near by that has the grocery store and other places needed for my food and other stuff. Not the usual place to find a hobby shop of sorts, but I did. Called the Tinkerer's Shoppe, they have different things for crafters, rocketry, gemologists, board games, and yes....Model cars. A small collection of kits mainly Revell but they are there. I saw some Tamiya kits as well for aircraft. It is a small space so selections are limited but at least car models are present. I bought the 69 Mustang while I was in the store. Prices weren't too bad for a small shop as the kit was about $27.00. I hope I can convince them to expand the selection. My fellow Wisconsinites who live in the area, please patronize the store. It's an hour NNW of Milwaukee. https://www.facebook.com/The-Tinker-Shoppe-164956174056067/
  4. Looks like it could compete with the Chevy Colorado and it's GMC stable mate.
  5. 1968-69 Buick Skyark/Special/GS. Great little hardtop or coupe. My Grandfather had a 69 Skylark Custom (new) and I had a 69 Special Deluxe coupe (used). Best looking cars of the intermediate class. The addition of Canadian trim to any of the American cars that had it. Beaumont, Acadian, Canso for the GMs and Rideau, Meteor for Ford plus Mercury pickup trucks, and Fargo for Dodge trucks.
  6. The details you added look great. I love the engine. The work you did on the tail lamp panel is awesome.
  7. This is a drawing I did for a DJ morning personality that was in my home town of Milwaukee. She was leaving for Phoenix to work at KSLX 100.7. She just bought a new car so I drew it for her. Here she is posing on her hood.
  8. Those tires are awesome. I knew they were offered during the 70s
  9. I just bought a house and the models are being wrapped loosely in those red shop rags you can buy at a parts store. They will cushion the model enough to prevent scratching should they jostle around. They will be transported in boxes put in my SUV and the stepdaughter's SUV. They will not be trusted in a moving van.
  10. What do you expect from the string, twigs, and beads set. I've for many years said that HL is not a hobby shop as we see them to be. They are an overpriced Micheal's.
  11. The cars I posted are green and a blue one. I think yer monitor is lying to you.
  12. I do believe the steering was poseable in that kit. Not sure if I'm doing the car the same. The were available in different colors with no striping and had matte black hoods. Some even had vinyl tops.
  13. This is something I built some years ago. I want to redo it as it has become somewhat shabby. The pic is not current.
  14. I love those small towns with the court house in the middle of a downtown. Wisconsin has several like that.
  15. What puzzles me is the design in the trunk. Most images I find are kind of a bulge in the middle and the kit is more like a depression. Was this a mistake on AMTs part?
  16. I just got this one today. Pic from EBay listing. Nice little kit. Odd thing...The kit came from a distance of about 20 miles from my home. I open the kit and a stamp inside the box lid says Marks Model Mart. plus the address and state which is in Phoenix. How far did this little box travel to eventually get to me? I can imagine several people saw and bought this and sold off several times by different people. It found it's forever home with me.
  17. As most Barris cars are. But the ZZR had a place in a spy/surf spoof movie, and that makes it worth while. The Fire wazzits? Not so much.
