Looks sharp. Remered those when I lived in California. I miss seeing all the clubs cruising the streets. We have them up here in Wisconsin but you only ever see them at shows.
This is one beautiful build. Love the color and the Vette itself. Corvette over the years has evolved in a natural progression. First solid rear axle, then to independent rear axles. Even the chassis has evolved in design and materials. Mid engine to me was a natural progression of the car.
I love these regional specials. I think every major city had some dealer ordering or converting a car to local character. I know Milwaukee had some Chevy Impalas decked out with white pearl paint, gold striping and vinyl padded half tops. Amc had some regional Rebel Station wagons out there.
Really great model. If I may, try getting rub on lettering kits at a craft or hobby shop to do the lettering on the body and plates. All different colors are available.
The 55 had exhaust ports in the rear bumper, the 56 did not if I'm thinking right. Both those years had the fins upright, The 57 had canted fins, different grille and trim.
