  2. I think they might because I recently paid stupid money for one of the 66s
  3. Indeed they are. You should give Sports & Exotics a read. Very nice cars in there from the exotic Italian stuff to the more mundane things like miatas. But all good.
  4. Go do well at the new job, retire early, open hobby shop.
  5. I too have subscribed form day 1. I totally enjoy all of Hemming's magazines. I've subscribed to the three titles since their inception. I also have C&D and R&T, but those are never read cover to cover, word by word as the Hemming's are.
  6. You think that is where Bozosoku cars got their start?
  7. I was mentioning what was in Purple Power, or Super Clean and to look for something equivalent in his country. They do not sell Super Clean or Purple Power in Great Britain. Also Super Clean is no longer made by Castrol, it is made by some other company now. Still great stuff.
  8. Why not? The trailer probably isn't made to scale based on an actual brand. Trailers can and are sometimes custom made to fit the individual's needs.
  9. Lye is a strong alkaline solution of potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide. It is used to make soap and drain and oven cleaners. Chemical formula: KOH or NaOH. Just look for these terms or Chemical formulas on the container.
  10. I bought a set of those Pakastani Braces pliers dentists used to make braces back in the day. I think it was four or five tools in a pack and they work well for making constantly sized bends for hinges and stuff like that.
  11. My first motor vehicle/farm vehicle driving experience was driving a Ford 9N. i was 12. It was my grandfathers farm tractor which he bought just before WWII. Previously he had a team of horses and a cantankerous Rumley Oil Pull steel wheel tractor. I vaguely remember a steam powered tractor as well being fired up when I was very young.
  12. Purple Power major ingredient is basically Lye. If you can find a degreaser with that in it, try it. You can use 90% or higher rubbing alcohol, or non synthetic brake fluid. How do you guys clean anything over there/
  13. http://www.artograph.com/spray_systems.htm http://www.coastairbrush.com/proddetail.asp?prod=HB-16-13 http://www.dickblick.com/products/simair-airbrush-spray-away-booth/ but the phones won't work. Says temporarily disconnected. I tried.
  14. I was just thinking of buying one of their units when my tax refund comes in February....NERTZ
  15. Very nice comparo between the two similar shapes.
  16. Very cool. Nice stance. Nice mild custom going here.
  17. I think ammonia will eat chrome.
  18. Minilites or Panasports would look great on the car.
  19. Can't happen, unless it's baron Von Richtoffen's car as an elderly man. The Red Baron fought in WWI where as the Opel would be appropriate for WWII. Plus, the baron died in France in 1918. Never woukd have seen an Opel of 1936-38.
  20. According to a listing at a hub cap store, the hub cap was unchanged from 66 to 69. So the Revell COPO Nova would have those caps. The caps in the kit do not have the fluted design shown, they are a bit plainer in the kit.
  21. Exotic Car Digest describes “Exotic Car” as: “Any car that the factory built to be unique, fast or purposely built to stand out from the roads full of the ordinary”. Kind of a broad definition, but as anything car related, terms can be wildly debated amongst the cognoscenti. Look at what the term muscle car brings to mind.
  22. Here is a car version of the small truck. The Florian. http://www.isuzuownersclub.com/en/?fid=5&gal=6The truck was sold as the Isuzu P'UP (short for pick up), of course the LUV which was short for Light Utility Vehicle. Also sold as the Bedford KB in Britain and the Holden KB in Oz. It was called Faster in Asian markets. When I lived in California, I saw LUVs with Florian grilles. I think the interior of the LUV would benefit from a wood grain touch like the Florian.
