  1. I was at Autozone looking for paint and noticed the small amount of what they had and the counter monkey told me that AZ was switching over to Rust-Oleum because corporate was having complaints about the nozzles not working in the brand of paint they had (Plasti-cote). Rust-Oleum has only limited basic colors and is useless for duplicating actual car colors. They never figured out that people just don't properly care for the nozzles and never clean them after use.
  2. I got a 41 Plymouth (Coke version) and a prepainted AMT Edsel.
  3. Isn't a lanai just a fancy word for "porch"?
  4. I saw something new, but I am sure you guys have seen it. I found clear Elmer's glue at Micheals while looking for spray adhesive. I am trying it out on some clear window pieces on a model. Regular Elmer's just doesn't get clear enough for me.
  5. Eric, you should be banned for posting those...uh...zaftig beauties. One thing I see here is every HHR has Buick portholes on them. I promise never, ever, never to put them on my HHR panel.
  6. Another thing to note. These owners cannot sell to others. Those cars are kept in the same family since new.
  7. Now with all that said, what would be the likelihood of inquiring of Tonka whether those tools are still extant. Perhaps this would be a good thing for Model King to inquire into. I would certainly like to build those models. I know this is not a real popular style of kit, but I would like one.
  8. ...and Spuds was bringing the beer.
  9. 68 GTO wagon? Never even heard of that one. Info please.
  10. Have you done this conversion, SpaceCowboy?
  11. Plunder away. I just wish I had a better camera. I'm going to create a Camaro version from the other Sportwagon kit I have. The Revell Streetburner kit does have a wider body and slightly different lines that will be an issue.
  12. Here is the latest project I'm working on. I am backdating a Sportwagon to 1970. Methinks the Airfix/Lindberg people did a quick copy of Monogram's old Firebird as the shapes are similar and fit very well together.
  13. Yeah, I think so. It will represent an importer of JDM classics in the US. What a nice way to showcase ones service than with a JDM truck. I now have to build all my Japanese car kits! Worky worky!
  14. Yeah, I bought one of these rigs when I saw it in the hobby shop. The engine in the kit is chromed and I need to know what color the engine was. The body looks to be around an early 80s design. The truck is a FUSO KFV-214 JR with an auto transport trailer added.
  15. That is one nice model. I had one when I was younger but it got played with extensively and became broken
  16. Ken's fur is about just over a buck. I think even buying two would be cheaper than the Martha Stewart brand
  17. Sorry Andy, we're not buying that warming poo. Sure climate changes, has been for aeons. Just ask a dinosaur. Whether it is man influenced now is open for debate. It's already been discovered that global warming researchers "cooked" the data to keep the grant money rolling in.
  18. That ridge along the side of the car, people assumed that was a chrome rub strip because some Novas had a trim piece over it. But it is an actual ridge stamped in the steel.
  19. I am amused by the swirly colored plastic that was under the chrome bits.
  20. That color is grreat!
  21. Yes, the 69 was done first. The 68 still uses the 69 dash and interior. I think all they did was change the grille and added a vent window.
  22. You can try any supplier to the hydraulic/gas/electronics trade. We've used Swedgelok bits in our plant for some projects. Get to know someone in that industry and see if their purchaser can get samples sent to you. Sometimes it works if you need a small batch of something. http://www.swagelok.com/search/find_products_home.aspx?SEARCH=/id-10002605/type-1 They do sell the spares.
  23. Could always use the lower case "L". As in Mustang ll
  24. Yeah, but it's a demo derby car. Would it matter?
