This would be F1 if you got the marketers OUT of the rules making.

I like seeing your bodywork in the making. I'd have to say , though, that's more of an Intercontinental kit! Don't mind me, just having fun ... I like the extended rear fenders.

Yay! one part moves to primer! The dash hasn't been seen since I first made the gauge panel. That one had gauges too close and too small .. so this is the third one. I have much detailing to do once it's in body color, but body work on this is done! I never added a photo of the real interior, so here goes ... -

Thanks, Rudy. That's an awesome idea you have .. would really be different. If it was operational it would really be cool. -

eheh Charlie. And, if my daughter lets me borrow it back after, I might make MassCar this coming year! -
Looking good! I like the idea of a chromed drag engine. Hint: get the lane opposite the sun so gleam off chrome blinds the other driver!

Dress For Success!

I'm retired and back to my old hippy days. I put my time in as a professional engineer. I wear old jeans, moccasins and whatever shirt I care to. I shave about every 3 days. It's pretty simple to me .. anything like this from a store employee and they will never see me or my cash again. I would have been out of business with those attitudes in no time. -

Just a minor update, but lots going on here. There's a lot of minor body things to do, like cleaning up all the thick plastic along the roof gutters from the simulated sliding door tracks. This has two regular side doors. I have a shot while extending the side trim with some triangular shapes. The brass sheet is what I use for a straight guide and also to scribe body lines. It may look curved in the photo, but the brass sheet is bulging outward and the shadows are whats giving the bent look to it. I'm also in the process of making a milk container, but it's going slow. Hopefully I'll get past the fragile stage and can proceed instead of stepping back. Thanks to all that have commented.. you're helping to keep me going on this one. -
YES! ... in the basement with the door shut tight!

Great photo .. Doctor Model and her hemostat. My daughter never caught the model bug, but her excitement over my building a van she had is worth it all.

I met my wife om a New Year's Eve blind date and married her 6 months later. It's now been ...ummmm ... 38 years. Sometimes you just know it when you see it.

I always have to restrain myself or I'll never finish anything ... oh wait .. I DON"T get anything finished! When I was about 15 I did a then new '40 Ford Sedan that was chopped, channeled and sectioned with lots of customizing and opening doors. None of that fits this thread, but I made working door handles on the doors. I always thrive on trying something new and figuring it out. This was in the early '60's so I had no MCM Forum to ask .. I just used a pin and bent it in an L to put through a hole in the door and bent it again inside into a Z. It projected past the door jam and held the door shut. Turning it would release the door. Simple, but I was thrilled at that young age.

This just LOOKS heavy ... as a metal model should!

Actually, I would recommend not changing the original. Trouble is, I use Photoshop and only "resize" the intended print size without changing pixels. This changes the pixel/inch rather than eliminating the resolution as most programs do. The bitmap resolution of an image you see on the screen has nothing (well, almost) to do with the size it prints. These are two different ways to describe the same image. In printer terms, it is described as size in inches by pixels/inch. I don't mean to confuse, but it you want to retain the maximum resolution you must just size it correctly when you print, not destroy pixels. I'm afraid I don't know how mush adjustment in printing other programs offer, but your printer should allow you to specify the actual size you want to print at. This is what you need to do.

This looks fantastic with all those little details! The doors may be slightly blocked, but I love those headers. Who needs doors when you can just hop in!

WoW!!! (note three exclamation marks) This looks fantastic .. every curve and panel line is clear as day and shows clearly what a creation this was. Your clean build highlights it all... fantastic job!
