  1. The window trim got glued down using some half rounds. It needs sanding and cleaning up but I'm happy with the look.
  2. The figures HAVE to stay!
  3. You hit the jackpot ... welcome to the forum!
  4. Definitely a beautiful job!
  5. Very nicely done, including your photography!
  6. Looks like a fun build.
  7. I always have some JB Weld around, just never heard it described as made for metal. So that goes on today. I had used Devcon 2 Toin epoxy in the 4.5 oz bottles because it's so easy to dispense and keep clean plus the great strength. Thanks for the heads up guys!
  8. That's an interesting effect. Gonna file that away ..
  9. That sure looks good, though!
  10. I ran into a recurring problem ... getting epoxy to stick to brass. The tubes just came apart, at least one did so far and I'm not confident the others will last. I did sand the tubes and cleaned with alcohol wipe. I guess the safe way is to buy a new soldering iron, one just for soldering modeling tubes will be the best but I don't want to spend a lot as I rarely do this. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
  11. I got the car in putty fixing the rocker panels and extending the headlights about a scale half inch. I scored a door line on the side to see how well this old plastic worked .. looks like that's a go, there's a lot of door, trunk and hood scoring to do .. uggh!
  12. I painted the wheels ... Italian Red. Been working on what goes on the transfer and have a narrower plan now ... took some engine and grill work. Also found some material. Thanks for the interest as I didn't give much to work with. I'm thinking about some tube bending for the seat as nothing I have looks right.
  13. the seat textures are wonderful.
  14. It looks real good. Builds of something you've known are the most fun! I am still working on all I've had ,,,
  15. This Mouse Rod I thought was the perfect flavor of what you ask ... an old computer mouse cover, some miscellaneous parts and a VW kit I got with another deal and knew I would never build on it's own ... good things come of "useless" parts!
  16. I've seen that still on the road in Jersey. Wonderful job!
  17. I'd call that a SUNliner! Beautiful!
  18. This is a magnificent build!
  19. That's a cool looking truck, even to this sports car guy. This B.R.B.O. is really pulling up some cool builds, especially all the resin bodies and gear.
  20. The Monogram is the more accurate body we decided in this discussion against the Arii kit. ... you might find it interesting. The fender flairs sound like they'd make a different build.
  21. Nice work on this one
  22. ebay can be fun ... something we never had as far as finding those odd kits! Which 924 kits did you get? ... Arii or Monogram. and two kits .. cool. I had two 1:1 924's so I really like them! I have both of those kits to build the '81 2924 Turbo I had and seem to be using parts of both kits to make it right. I'll be looking forward to seeing your build(s)!
  23. very clean and beautiful paint!
