  1. that's a great guess! , but wrong.
  2. Frame is done ... needs cover now ... getting real close ...
  3. I second the motion .. your body looks great and I'm still sitting here watching! My post of the Kurbmaster was only aimed at Agent G looking for a resin body.
  4. Wonderful builds there .. now has me all worked up the NNL East 30 next week!!!!!
  5. If you want a head start, Jeff Ballard does the Grumman Kurbmaster and this is a very nice kit. There's good info and photos on that page. Her'e a link to it at Motor City Resins. and ... nice work on the body, Larry!
  6. The rear panels got my curiosity moving ...
  7. Even "cheap" printers nowadays can do it. Just get geed photo paper and use the best settings when printing. If you get at a distance from your plate with the camera so it prints at .5 inches you can just cut it out and use that. Sometimes the paper can be split with a razor blade to make it thinner. This I do a lot and it's really simple.
  8. Good luck, JIm. I just had a tonsil out a week ago ... that bugger held out for 70 years, but his accomplice is still around. Still recovering
  9. The Land Yacht of Land Yachts! A beautiful build, Jürgen!
  10. I should dredge up my old Strength of Materials Lab handbook and devise a test, but you guys ..
  11. Your hand painting skills are to be admired! That really grabs the look from back then, when 80% of us were of age to be there. Unfortunately, a friend and I turned back to Connecticut when we heard the traffic reports ... a long regretted decision. eheh
  12. Welcome to the forum, John. I did drive across Denmark a long time ago (in 1968) on the way to Gothenburg. Sounds good growing up in a modeling family as my Dad got me started while working on a few ships he got for me one Christmas. His was spectacular, but the one is all he ever did. Me, I never stopped, except for a long break as many have in or youth.
  13. 69 and 70 come summer if August will get here
  14. The solid color really makes it!
  15. everything about it ... yes!
  16. Welcome and from the look of your painting you're going to do well in the model building world! Painting still puts the fear in me after 60 years!
  17. Everything is going along on schedule ...
  18. A beautiful build! This is my kind of building ... cars you've owned ... and it's good to see even diecasts being done this way.
  19. That shape is looking good. Give us some new photos if you have!
  20. This has been going on for as long as I can remember. I can't sat if any of the can artists make money this way, but some must since it does persist. Just to show some must buy, I am guilty! I recently bought a set of PE wire wheels and tires from a Gunze Sangyo Triumph TR2 High-Tech kit for a TR4A I am building. This kit goes for hundreds of dollars, and rarely comes up for sale. I did pay $20 for some wheels ripped out of a kit, but they were at least assembled very well. This is a photo of one of the wheels alongside the plastic version.
  21. Cool .. good to see one of these done, and so well! WARNING: Do NOT take this vehicle out to a Skid Pad!
  22. really good looking build! This is from the days Infiniti thought they had to LOOK like a Mercedes to compete. Thankfully, they finally went their own way and build the G35 Coupe!
  23. welcome! That's an interesting rear wing.
  24. Pretty cool .. and a looker! Glad you put some 1:1 inspiration pics up.
