  1. What would anyone be offended about? A little variety will be very nice.
  2. What I don't like about the Matador V8 is the soft engraving and overall lack of detail, though to be fair, it wasn't to bad compared to what else was avaialble at the time. The Monogram CJ-7 engine is a bit simplified, but very nice, trouble is it's 1:24, not 1:25 like the Gremlin.
  3. What Danno said- sometimes moistening it helps, too. If you're worried about damaging the paint, stretching a piece of microfiber towel over the tip will mimimize the chance of scratching the paint.

  5. Round 2 is kind of banking on nostalgia these days- maybe they just assumed this kit would appeal more to the, ahem, more seasoned modelers among us, and they thought the folks in that particular market would already be aware of this kits engineering, features, and scale from past experience.
  6. But in the meantime.... LIONS SUCK!
  7. AND THE LIONS STILL SUCK!!!!!!!
  8. Cobbled up a gun from spare junk laying around- it is now attached to the Mustang's roof...
  9. Sounds like par for the course for the majority of Heller kits I've built. (Grain of salt- I've only build four Heller kits, and two were the Citroen truck-one the Waterman pen truck, the other the Hotel taxi.)
  10. Too late... I already got two of 'em.
  11. For those less adventurous, Modelhaus sells a '61 Starliner transkit that uses the AMT '60 as a donor. My own '61 project hasn't progressed much since 2009.
  12. I'll be 'disposing' of an AMT 'American Hot Rod' '97 Mustang GT for my project. Hopefully pics will follow soon.
  13. Well... that does seem appropriate, given the subject matter.
  14. Many do... but many more seem to mourn the Camaro that got t-boned.
  15. Wifi router, with a battery. Supposedly it's good on just the battery for five hours. I just dug out a kit to work on- I think THAT'S why the power went out.
  16. Funny you say that... my power just went out, but here I am. Yay batteries! It's almost bedtime, anyway.
  17. Looks good with fenders and those wheels. Appearance wise it's beat a Nailhead, too.
  18. Palmer did another Challenger, too- it had a multipiece body and was motorized. "Big Drag" or some name like that. Like it's been said- the body is okay in this kit- I've got one somewhere on an AMT Yankee Challenge floorpan. That would be the best way to really make something of this kit- the chassis it comes with is too narrow, and lacks detail.
  19. What I don't understand... you PAY for cable (or satellite), so why do so many channels still run advertising? Might be why I usually watch DVDs a lot these days.
  20. Like what? A Cornonet or a Dart? Then people would be griping about all the Coronets and Darts that got destroyed... I really think those Chargers gave their lives for a good cause- other than the 500 and Daytona versions, was the '69 Charger ever really known for anything? After DOH, it was pretty much guaranteed the '69 Charger would be remembered forever, even by people who are not muscle car enthusiasts, or Mopar guys. Besides, when the show started out, they were just used Dodges- was there any outrage about it at the time.
  21. Really, cars from ANY given period tend to resemble each other. Look at a Model T... then look at its competition. They all looked pretty much alike. Same as today, more or less. There are always exceptions, of course, but when somebody adopts styling/engineering/packaging that works, sooner or later the competition is going to follow suit.
  22. I'm wondering the same thing about bull skulls, actually. The new Deluxe Batmobile kit comes with an optional turbine- you could probably find an aircraft kit with a usable unit too.
  23. Very cool. Always something I liked about these little Renaults. I actually have a set of wheels off a 1:1 Dauphine... don't ask how I aquired them.
