  1. Totally? No. Most of the sheetmetal was the same, should actually be a fairly simple conversion.
  2. Hmmm... wonder how a Fiero came up in conversation... Like the way it looks so far- just needs minimal bodywork and maybe a boot. I'd go with a fiberglass boot- just cut in some panel lines and you're set. And don't forget the sunvisors!
  3. Loving that Stude! Gotta get off my keister here pretty soon and contribute something here!
  4. Missed this one the first time out- might have to jump in!
  5. Just couldn't resist seein how she looked with her brightwork in place... The taillights on this one were more pink than red, so I hit them with a red Sharpie to darken them. The lenses are molded clear but painted red at the factory, the actual hue seems to vary a bit though.
  6. Why can't they provide both, like Round 2 did with their first release of the Impala NASCAR kits? I think that would make both camps happy, and shouldn't add much to the price of the kit.
  7. I'm going to try a fine tip black Sharpie, and proceed from there.
  8. Yep- insulation underneath is gone, paint's burned off, and so on.
  9. And a towel. And probably a hotlight.
  10. I WONDER WHAT THE REAL DIALOGUE IS!!!!
  11. There are a bunch of these turbines going up about five miles north of me- I see these things going by my place all the time... at about fifteen miles per hour, with a chase truck out in front.
  12. The one with the yellow/black/white drag racer on the box top does. The RC2-era reissue (red car on dark background) from about 2003 or so does not- it has a topper shell instead. Some of the camper parts are included (front and rear walls if I recall) but the rest is AWOL.
  13. With a pre-decorated set of Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock figures! Seriously- even though modelers don't seem to be tripping over one another for bus kits, I am a little suprised this one's never been done as a kit, simply because it's an icon. Somebody says 'city bus', the picture you see in your head is most likely a GMC Fishbowl. Can't say I'd be up for any myself, but I would love to see it kitted! But not before a pre '77 IH Loadstar, or a first-gen Scout.
  14. That's an ex-IMC kit. It can be a bit fiddly to assemble, but it's a pretty good kit.
  15. Penciled in the suspension- actually managed to get it a bit lower in back, but the front sits a little higher now. Might fix that, might not... still needs a little bit of daylight under the rockers for the lake pipes I plan to put on it. Also plugged in a Cadillac 345 engine I already built years ago.
  16. Really think basing your opinion of a kit manufacturer based on one kit is fair? Check out the newer tool Lindberg kits- the '53 Fords, '61 Impala, F-150s and yes, even these 1:20 kits. They're leaps and bounds better than the old hot rod kits. The current Charger/Super Bee/Police Car kit is one of the best kits on the market.
  17. Started with the Revell COPO kit, then slapped on three Rallys and a Cragar, and stuffed in an inline six from a Trumpeter Nova.
  18. Maybe I should have flocked the front fenders with black carpet.
  19. There are. And I plan on breaking every single one of them.
  20. I bought the kit a few years back and wasn't too impressed with it- the turbine engine in particular is pretty crude. If you could get one for cheap it might be worth it, but I guess it's just not my thing.
  21. Nope. East German Batmobile? Perhaps.
  22. Not a big fan of 'bubble' tops, but I'm seriously toying with the idea of grafting the one from the Roth Beatnik Bandit onto this. Yes, I know it might resemble a Powell Homer if I do! Any thoughts?
  23. Really looking forward to the Convertible variant- I'm thinking of 'rolling my own' version of the old Rambler visible unibody promo...
  24. If you see them going for between 20 and 50, if I were selling it, I'd go for something like $35. Probably more than I'd pay for that particular kit, but remember, you can always reduce the price later if there is no interest. My rule of thumb when I sell stuff is- 'Never price it higher than what I'd pay for it myself.'
