  1. I KNOW I have the kit, let me see if it still has the instructions.
  2. Forgot the other two big ones- a tubbed pro streeter, and a custom convertible with a Carson top.
  3. There are two water pumps on a flathead, one in each cylinder bank.
  4. But he is dead. On the inside. Love the body, this will be even more insanely cool than I thought!
  5. Who else is thinking... ""?
  6. Now, I just want to see one of those wild Buick 8's of his built up! I'd like to see how it compares to the Kitchen Table kit (which I have and love).
  7. I think that all hobby vendors should steal a page or two from Steve. His prompt service and professionalism combined with his extensive kit and product line always keeps me coming back. I'd wholeheartedly reccomend STAR Models to anyone.
  8. Can't say I'm as stoked to see this one as the Hudson, but I guarantee I'll be picking up more than a few of these kits as well.
  9. Once I figure out how much the top is chopped, I plan to section at least that amount out of the body, run the fadeaway fender panels, and make up my own fender skirts. But that won't be until AFTER I've chopped up a couple of Hudsons!
  10. 1- Full blown '50's style lead sled 2-Modern Style, big wheel airbagged custom. 3- Beater 4- Phatom pickup styled after a '48 factory prototype 5- Phantom 2-door woody wagon 6- Hollywood Hardtop with Motor City body 7- '48 Four door sedan using R&R body 8- Solid axle, 'gasser' style street freak 9- Six or seven pages worth of others...
  11. Nice. Looks like the tire/stance issues from the 'smaller' Revell 'Stangs aren't such an issue here.
  12. Rendunant feature- one filler neck rusts out or collapses, just use the auxillary filler.
  13. Not I this year, I'm afraid.
  14. There actually was a turbo Caravan factory produced in the late '80's. Not quite sure how they'd stack up to this one. They were even available with a five-speed. A friend of mine's mom had one with the automatic.
  15. Pretty much all the skin is different (if you are talking about Monte vs Cutlass). A Cutlass front end will bolt on to the Monte- a local guy had one, and it looked just as tacky as you imagine! But all Cutlasses did have the same sheetmetal from those years. Wouldn't mind a '77 Cutlass either, if that's what it is. Might have to email Steve and ask him what's what. Same here, but I have always had a soft spot for the Rockets. My buddy Paul still has the '78 he had in high school ten years ago- I never even noticed this body style until Paul bought his.
  16. Finished this about three months ago, still not sure what it will end up towing yet.
  17. Did not see a pic of it on Steve's site, but for 27 bucks it might be worth checking out. Not that R&R stuff is ever fantastic quailty wise, but since I'm planning a conversion it might not be a big deal.
  18. Just wondering if anyone does a body or trans kit for one of these. And if not, any interest? I do have reference pretty close at hand ^^^^, and I'm thinking of reworking an MPC Monte Carlo if I can't find a read-made solution.
  19. If Olds had kept building stuff with this much style, they'd probably still be around. Very nice.
  20. For those in the 1:25 camp, the offical MAD website image and info on the '79 Notch- http://www.madmodeling.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/79muscoupe.html I have not yet had the chance to have one in my hands, but I think this is the one I'm getting. It appears to be a pretty complete transkit, its 1:25 (making it more consistent with 90% of my other models), and represents the earlier style nose and taillamp treatment. Nothing against the '87-up styles, I just prefer the earlier designs myself.
  21. Guess who's ordered a couple of these. (Yeah, me!)
  22. It's Saturday SOMEWHERE, right?
