  1. That's why I didn't want to get into the accuracy thing with Revell. Ah, the outcry over the Novas and the '72 Olds still rings in my ears. Given the fact that the Monogram/Revell Fox kits which already exist are flawed, I'll be bracing myself when/if this Revell Coupe is out!
  2. REALLY like that color on the Challenger- that would look good on a 1:1. Great model, and cool tribute to your brother.
  3. Other than the Mercury version having only four grille bars and slightly different trim, they were identical to the F-Series Fords.
  4. I don't think it was an F-100, IIRC it was an F-350 Camper Special, 1979 vintage. Model King reissued that kit as the stock version about six years ago, but I think its out of produciton now.
  5. Three, maybe four. Usually I like to seciton the body at least the same amount as the top chop up to a certain point. But yeah, I think a 3" section would work pretty well on this particular body.
  6. And Jim- if you can, a trip out to Dean's is well worth the trip!
  7. And there's the thorny issue of 'if' that Revell notchback will ever be released. When it comes to Revell, I have pretty much adopted an "I'll believe it when its sitting on the shelf at the hobby shop" mentality. Maybe I'm being a bit too pessemistic, but given Revell's recent history of either taking forever to release a kit after it is announced or never bothering to release it at all, my hopes of this Revell coupe aren't too high. And I don't even want to get into the 'will it be any better than what's avaialable already' side of things as far as accuracy goes...
  8. According to the churning rumor mill, that might be happening, though I wouldn't hold my breath for a 'base-optioned' example of said car.
  9. Love the progress on the model, and really dig the 1:1. That would be an attention grabber here in the States, I'll bet it's a neck-snapper in Australia!
  10. Well, Jason DID mention something about Marty's design as a Cougar. And the fact that his post 'against' Jason's first post showed more than a litte bit of evidence of him having a sense of humor, and he didn't come right out and tell Marty to get lost tells me he isn't too concerned with the conversation taking a bit of a detour.
  11. Note to self... seek out that kit!
  12. Whoa... is that a Ford Supercruiser? Didn't know there was a kit of that!
  13. Alright, thanks for the clarification. Not sure if its in demand- but being that it's OOP and a Mopar muscle car subject, I'd assume there's a pretty good audience for it. Like I said- I'd avoid eBay and check the old kit vendors- you might pay a little more, but there won't be any 'bidding wars' going on.
  14. Do you mean the Superbird or just the plain ol' Roadrunner? The Superbird is out now- any hobby shop should be able to order it for you. The standard Roadrunner has been out of production for a few years. If that is the one, I'd try Dean's Hobby Stop or Spotlight Hobbies- they stock all kinds of OOP kits, and I'd be more suprised if neither of them had it than if they did.
  15. Oh. Duuuuuuuuuuuuhhhh..... Sometimes a picture IS worth a thousand words.
  16. And of COURSE I'm going to try out the new custom parts on the existing drop top, maybe even the Woody.
  17. Where'd he say it was a C5?
  18. Still haven't owned a Fox Mustang yet, but I can guarantee you when I do finally take the plunge it'll be a notch.
  19. I've toyed with that idea as well. I do have the Modelhaus kit- so I could rob the parts or pattern my own stuff after them if need be. I'm leaning more toward the '51 dash though- the AMT '51 Chevy dash I have has about the same shape to it.
  20. Code 354- Failure to properly Tazer a suspect.
  21. Sweet! Didn't see the body listed on the site.
  22. If a guy thinks its ugly, he thinks its ugly. I can dig that. Personally I don't like the hatchbacks (which is one of the reasons I opened this thread to begin with). And I hate the GTs... the thick rocker cladding and those 'cheese grater' taillamps... ugh!!!! I think the notch is a much better looking car than the hatchback. I've actually been toying with getting the RR body. Is it perfect? No, but it sounds like ALL the alternatives are equally flawed. Unassuming burgundy paint, black steel wheels and a built SBF crammed under the hood! The fact its a notch seals the 'sleeper' deal.
