  1. I'm still thinking about it. Trouble is with me, entering in a community build or build-off is pretty much a guarantee the project will never, ever get finished!
  2. Especially now, when all you have to do to reply is put the cursor in the box at the bottom of the last post and hit 'post'!
  3. You know? Didn't even know I wanted a kit of a Rampvan until you brought it up just now. Thanks. Thanks a LOT!!!!
  4. The car in the e Model Cars logo- one of Jairus' creations?
  5. This has me thinking- maybe if this one is a sucess, that '54 Kaiser Manhattan kit I've always wanted might be a possibility. Yeah, sounds like a long shot, but who expected THIS kit?
  6. Mace is actually the smoking man from X-Files. Dealing with him can be a bit iffy at times.
  7. I've seen guys build trucks with killer lifts, heavy axles, and huge tires.... and never, ever take them off road for fear of scratching the paint. I've never been able to nab one of those trucks for a song myself, so I'd have to say epic score on this one!
  8. Those big-diameter plated steelies? Those would look killer!
  9. Not sure if the licencencing thing was true, but I had one of those McDonald's kits (ex-Monogram Deuce Roadster), and I think the diorama pieces ended up getting crushed.
  10. Plymouth, not Dodge. I own a 1:1 '67 Fury four-door, and I have to tell you, this has me contemplating a roof swap!
  11. Looking cool so far, and with the bed still the stock length, might still be useful as a pickup for chasing parts.
  12. I know a couple of Coca-Cola fanatics who have all of the old AMT Coke kits, as well as the new Lindberg releases. Are they ever going to build them? Nope. But there's a huge market for Coke collectibles, and these kits fall into that realm.
  13. Like it! Glad you chose not to incorporate the side pipes.
  14. I know the Double Dragster tin has tinted glass and printed whitewalls and new tool, pad-printed slicks, but the standard, cardboard-box version does not. Personally, paying extra just for a collectible tin box isn't worth it, but if it includes a few extra bells and whistles, I'll be more inclined to pick a couple up, like I did with the tin Double Dragster release!
  15. Tasty! I've said it a thousand times, gotta have this kit!
  16. Yeah, the kits themselves were usually far from great, but the subject matter was terrific. A shame there will likely never be another significant Jo-Han 'comeback tour'.
  17. Well, one thing I can't say is 'clean build'. Love it though!
  18. Okay, now I see it. Yep, just took me back to this thread.
  19. Neither do I- all I can see is the 'Follow This Topic' button in the upper left corner.
  20. And as an aside- "First Hudson stock car will be a Model King exclusive 1952 Tim Flock Hornet. Hoping for late September, may be early October though." Close enough to taste it!!!!!
  21. Not completely on topic, but since they're bringing back a number of the IH truck/tractor kits, why not the Scout SSII and Off Road versions. I think it's about time!
  22. Those headers are from a Revell Beatnik Bandit.
  23. The Model King/AMT '70 Wildcat has similar wheels, not sure if they are the Buick-specific style or the Magnum 500s, but if I recall, they're a bit smallish on the diameter.
  24. Indeed, though there was quite a bit of hand-fabbed stuff on it, no doubt! The roof was actually made from Ford station wagon pieces (the front 'hatch is a '63/4 Ford wagon liftgate), and the exhaust outlets on the sides are '65/6 Mustang taillamp bezels. There's actually a guy doing a recreation of the Deora (he might even have it done now, I heard of this a few years back), and he's doing it exactly the way the A-Bros did it-
