  1. Not *technically* finished, this one will end up in a diorama, but you get the gist. Yes, that's a Jeep bed on a Dodge, and yes, there actually used to be a '70's Dodge pickup in my area that looked a lot like this.
  2. BMW- Brings Mechanics Work Brings More Worries Barely Moving Wreck Bavarian Manure Wagon Brings Me Women Break My Wallet Built (from) Mercedes Wastebin
  3. The King Ranch and Harley editions were more than stickers and badges, the Harley edition had a supercharger, for Pete's sake! ON the flip side, why did Chevy have a North Face edition? Ever seen a North Face Chevy Edition jacket? To answer the first part... no freakin' idea where the 'King Ranch' thing comes from either. The trucks are kind of tacky Imho. I'd still love a Harley F-150, though.
  4. Back on page 4, you saw my '46 Chevy dumper. I got rid of it, but its new owner had it out and about tonight... That's the new owner, Gary, in the second photo, and my buddy Chad in the third. Location... out front of Ghost Town Saloon in beautiful downtown Elwell, Michigan.
  5. In 1985, Honda had a version of the Accord called the Accord STD. It only lasted one year. The STD stood for 'Standard', but given that particular abbreviation's more common application, well, somebody in Honda's Marketing team dropped the ball!
  6. This shady character WILL be buying several...
  7. Yeah, getting the shape right would be the trick.
  8. Yep, or like comparing an '08 Model T to a '27 Model T. Totally different monsters, even if they look identical. It would seem to me a no-brainer for someone to kit this (plasic OR resin), I'd be FIRST IN LINE to buy one! (That and a Squareback.)
  9. And all Ford 'Super Duties' (I hate the word 'super', by the way...) have the same frame and basic suspension parts, aside from the fact that some of the heavier models (450/550), have a solid front axle on 2wd models. They can carry and tow more than they're rated for, I can personally attest to that! Side note, I always thought R/T stood for 'Rotten Transmission' or 'Rotten Trackbar'. (I used to own a T-300 Ram... )
  10. My '60 Plymouth (Jo-Han kit) '59 Cadillac Hearse (modified AMT/Ertl Ecto 1) '29 Model A Ford '15 Model T Ford (Not a wagon, but hey, it is a longroof!)
  11. Well... it's that, or a truck built by a manufacturer which was, at one time, a branch of the federal government.
  12. Freakin' FLYWHEEL dwarves the rest of the locomotive!
  13. Wonder if that technique could be used to replicate a geyser of water from a broken hydrant? (Diorama idea I've been kicking around in my head...)
  14. Okay... NOW I'm only getting a blank screen... Was working just fine.
  15. Just went over and logged in for the first time in forever... everything seems to be working fine.
  16. I have one kinda/sorta/halfway built. It goes together pretty easily, but you're on your own as fars as furnishings and the majority of the tools and equipment go.
  17. Correct, but the current kits are all of the 2006 concept car. Revell is coming out with the production '10 version this year.
  18. Most of the kit's biggest hiccups (lack of torque boxes, wrong steering and oil pan, too wide rear wheel wells) don't bother me. They're all on the bottom of the model. This might sound strange, but I like to display my models with the chassis pointed DOWN. The exhaust? Deep six it, what good's a V8 without duals anyway? I do wish they'd done a better job on the body proportions, but though it doesn't look right 100% of the time, it looks pretty good from most angles. I'll say it again, at least it's not the AAR 'Cuda...
  19. Or "The Bug That Ate Tokyo"! I hear the Canadian Dodges wore a similar grin up front. Now mine's set up on some Firestone wide ovals and AMT Torq Thrusts... yeah, I'm liking where this is going.
  20. Does anybody know if Jon posts on any other forums? He doesn't appear to be on MCM, and he left TRAK a few months ago.
  21. A 'corvette' I think is cool! Looks INCREDIBLE- especially considering how long ago it was built.
  22. 'Ere we are... http://www.falconclub.com/
  23. Yes, but there's one for Trabants, too... Still, I can think of at least a dozen Falcons in my immediate, not-really populated area, and all are adored by their owners and atendees at car shows- yours truly included.
  24. Oh, I ALWAYS have uses for the extra cabs... it's the fender units I keep accumulating!
  25. Oh- Krylon Turquise is a good match too- I've heard of guys who own 1:1 '64 Fords using that as touch up paint!
