I've always liked this car, and I'd love to have the kit. There's just something about the car I like- drink in its lines and you'll get a slight Jag E-Type and early Z-car aftertaste. (See what I did there? ANYBODY can critique automotive styling! ) Great build, I can only hope mine will turn out that nice.

Aged pretty well, and the repair/refurbish job makes it even better. That yellow really pops!

I like cartoons, or animated features, or whatever you may call them, and I'd be willing to bet there are more 'responsible adults' who are into those types of movies than you might guess. 90% of the movies you see nowadays are jam-packed to the gills with CGI. Is a movie like Tranformers (which SUCKED, by the way) any different with all its CGI effects than a movie like Cars, which is all CGI and not afraid to hide it? Pardon me, but I'm off to change my sig line to "Micheal Bay sucks"!

I've seen a handful of Mopar axle cars with the stock (or modified) K-member, but it seems the majority of them had a fabricated setup. The really cool ones were drilled square stock.

Just wondering if there were any 1:25 kits which include a blown (Roots-type) Chrysler non-Hemi big block.Or... I like the 440 in the AMT '71 Charger R/T, but it is stock only. Would adapting a blower from a Hemi engine be technically correct for this? Were the 440 and Hemi based on the same block? Or should I just not worry about it and slap a blower on the 440, correct application or not?

Years ago, Ertl had a 1-800-number where you could contact someone with your concerns, but that went away around the time Ertl became Racing Champions or RC2 or whatever the company that ran AMT into the ground was called. It's still on some of the reissue kit instruction sheets, but I've never called it and doubt it still works. I'm guessing with the modeling hobby the way it is, they can't afford to have a 'help desk' like they used to. Revell still has a number you can call, and John at Round 2 has answered every e-mail I've sent his way (granted, I've only sent two e-mails, but that's pretty refreshing after the cold-shoulder treatment RC2 gave its customers).

I added a cut-down '33 Willys grille with spotlights from a '49 Merc kit for headlamps, and cut an air cleaner in half to serve as brake cooling ducts- mostly to cover up the big, ugly notches in the axle! I'm outta here- It's Miller time!

CARS was okay, but right now I"m watching Archer, which is WAY better! I'd love to have that '49 Olds kit, too... and why not a '50 Buick, while we're daydreaming?

I think I'm going to try out Mike's Sketchpad concept on the next '58 kit I buy, I've always loved the Squarebirds!

AMT/Ertl reissued the old MPC (1980-ish) Bronco a few years back- that would give you the rear third or so, since the Centurion was basically a Bronco from the rear door edge back. You could probably mesh the Bronco tub and an AMT F-150 , and reshape the Bronco's front doors to serve as the rear Centurion doors. I always thought these were cool, too, kind of wonder why no resin caster has ever tried a transkit.

Wow! I don't even like '62 Chevys or Corvettes... but somehow the best bits of each in one car, THAT concept works quite well!
