with my latest build I made some mistakes that I hope to avoid on future builds. You have to think of building this like you would a real car. Build the frame first, then hang the suspension, install the running gear, install the interior, then blow it all apart for paint.
I found that if I had assembled my engine 100% before installing it in the car my life would have been a lot easier. I'm going to be building a tool to hold my drag engines while I build them.
Another thing is parts that you will handle a lot, ie sliding the body on and off, putting tires on and off. Detail/paint them last to avoid damaging the finish. I have to re-decal my rear tires because I handled them too much. My hood will not fit because the blower hold down straps don't have enough slack in them. You will encounter problems you will have to solve but think of it this way. Each build is a learning experience. Take what you can from this build to help you with the next one.
