This is a tough one. I get it that it has so many memories for you. I enjoyed reading the back story as well. Part of me wants to see it restored with new parts especially the chrome items. Another part of me wants to see it merely cleaned up and left as is because as others have stated, it's original only once. That aside, I'd leave it as it is and continue to preserve it as long as possible.

Very cool build. Gunmetal and red looks great, like the body striping too, very nice shine and excellent wheel, tire and brake choice. The Galaxie is every bit as cool.

That's a big ride. I like the color, and it's my understanding it's not the best detailed kit and yours came out great.
