  1. I'm not sure, but I think I know what your talking about. I've seen some Fujimi kit's with this "decal" stuff. It's special emblems that are "raised" as you say to give a more 3-D appearance to it. I dont' know if they are photo-etched or molded or what but they are neat indead. I think your supposed to glue theme on with a very tiny dab of white glue if I remember correctly. At any case, please post pictures of whatever you have in question as it will help us give you a better answer. It maybe a form of photo-etched?
  2. If by Karl you mean the some what chubby somewhat Italian looking guy? The one who likes to talk alot? Than yea, he's still there. It's hard to get a straight answer from him cause once you ask him something he'll talk all day long!
  3. I've always liked that movie, now you need to build the "destroyed" version of that car!
  4. Thank you, I have yet to mix paints.
  5. Let's get back on topic please. When to use what black? I typically use flat-black for interior and chassis. Semi-gloss black for suspension parts.
  6. I think that second picture makes me think of either Zender Fact 4, or the newer Vector's.
  7. Question for all you pro's. Is this the stuff I should use for fixing the bumpers? Check out ebay item number 320354173041. Thank you!
  8. Chassis is finished, I went with the stock wheels simply cause I have'em and they look better up close and personal. Next step is the interior, and then when I have the proper materials, the body! Enjoy! Mid engine Muffler with duel exaust. Noticed I painted the inside of the exaust pipe this time?
  9. I'm going to study this one harder before saying what I think. Look's convincingly real, but we know how we can be fooled!
  10. An update. Since I'm holding off on the body till I can get the proper putty, I started work on the chassis. I always paint my chassis flat black. I painted the suspension arms semi-gloss black, disk's silver, and shoes gun-metal. Engine is painted flat-aluminum. Not sure if the gun-metal can bee seen in photo.
  11. Thank you, I go to Complete Hobbies frequently and they do have a nice selection. Karl there is a great guy and fun to talk to.
  12. Seems you have more structural integrity here and this makes more sence then having the doors go downward.
  13. This is the one my Dad owns. When he was a teenager he was friends with the designer and flew in this very one when he was 15. Decades later he found it for sale in a magazine and purchased it, then discoverd it was the same one he flew in as a kid. So very important to him.
  14. Is there any model building clubs in Colorado Springs, CO?
  15. It's on various shows, can't tell you which exactly, sorry.
  16. No, the one my Dad has is the yellow and green one you may see on Discovery channel every now and then.
  17. Yes, but more precise late 40's-mid 50's. My Dad has one of only five of these and HIS is the only one still flying today.
  18. Interesting idea there, but couldn't the heat from the steam melt the delicate decal film?
  19. Does not sound like a Koenig design but could be. I was visiting Essen AutoShow in '97 because my Dad has a very unusual car and he was asked to show it there. I was excited cause I was really anxious to see Koenig in person but sadly they didn't have anything knew to show and so they were not presant that year. Essen Auto Show is one kick-azz motor show and that is where Koenig debutes their new cars. Man was I really disapointed! But, everything else about the show was awesome, so disapointment quickly went away! LOL!
  20. Thank's but that didn't answer my question regarding the color tire-black. What's wrong with new cars being black?
  21. I just snatched off ebay two Fujimi 1/24 Koenig Specials models I've been looking for. The KS Diablo, and KS 911 bi-turbo. Still got three KS models on their way to me. So that's five so far. Still looking for the 928 and Mercedes 500 and that would be the entire collection! In 1/24 that is..................................
  22. No matter how hard you try, rat's always find a way in.
  23. I got one for yea. Some of you old farts might know it. Guess the name, and decade.
  24. Here, here, I agree 100%! That comment he made was totally unexuseable! I wish you luck with fixing your window, I know how frusterating those clear peices can be. Particularly when you feel like you have the only one left in the entire world. Good luck man!
  25. Hello there. We know we have flat black, semi-gloss black, and gloss-black. But what the he77 is tire-black? The instructions on my Fujimi Veilside MR2 require that the suspension arm/disk-brake peice be painted tire-black. What's the difference? Isn't tire-black same as semi-gloss black? Is it worth the detail to find tire-black next time I'm in town? Anybody have any pictures to show tire-black? And why would a suspension arm be tire-black anyway?
